On way to and from Tucson rock show in late January and early February we always drive by ”Fraggle Rock” just to the west of Lordsburg New Mexico. Two attachments show the location

So I pulled the trigger on a new waterproof camera. An Olympus TG-6. First images were through the window morning shots during a dismal winter snow storm. The Oly lived up to its reputation, out of the gate they were only slightly under-exposed and the white balance was bang on. This one was from a RAW file, but I got almost identical results working from the JPEG, the latter being less noisy. Corrections were very minor, mainly bumping the brightness a smidge.

Thanks! I really had no choice, everytime I swapped batteries on the Fuji I lost my key settings. The biggie was having the JPEG level slip from fine to normal.

A huge surprise to me with the Oly has been close-up ability. It works at the long end of the zoom and on my first test shot I got it down to 3/4" x 1" and suspect I could get even a smidge closer if I could figure out the lighting. Will put together a thread similar to what I did with the Lumix once I get a bit more familiar with the camera.

Cary, NC - My Name is Rob Bond
Short sleeves last Sunday at Bond Park. Today it is snowing. We make it through the whole winter without so much as a flake, and in March we get snow. We even prepared the garden for planting later this month. Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, and it's March!!! What the heck?
