Wherever I hang my hat...
I just posted this in the weekly photo contest thread, and i figured i would post it here too. Again C & C is always welcome. I think it looks pretty good, but i want to know what you think.

Well, you say you want C & C... but you think "it looks pretty good"... which suggests you want someone to agree with you rather than genuine C & C.

You're growing cannabis under lights, and posting pix on a public forum. Are you touting for customers, or are you just plain daft?

C & C: it's a flowerpot...

Perhaps something has clouded his judgment...

Another problem with this request for C&C is that it is for a photo that is entered in a current contest, making it seem as though NeGRit0 is trying to circumvent the contest rule forbidding comments. Even if his intent is not to get positive feedback in the hopes that it might sway the opinion of the judge, the request could be construed that way. Therefore, it's really not a good idea.

Furthermore, this photo has now appeared in two or three contests and the daily thread. It was certainly entered in the contest that I judged back in January. So, NeGRit0, I suggest you move on--take some new photos!

Spring is finally here. I'll have some tulip shots tomorrow. The buds have finally blossomed.

Bun on the Run

This small bunny was frolicking with two others today. This is a pretty hefty crop, as I can't shoot the 400mm out the driver's window, so this is with the 80-200mm. I'll have to see if it'll go to 8x10 before I decide if it's usable.

Nothing like a little risk to get a fun shot...

Valdore - A very very nicely done piece of art. It passed HDR when you explained half the processes you did.

April was not particularly good to me regarding butterfly macros, but May has definitely made up for it. This is an uncropped shot, taken with a canon XTi, 100mm macro and 68mm of extension tubes.

My Addition To The Thread.

This is a snap of a branch or leaf of some small plant in a nursery. I completely forgot to ask the name of the plant. Hope you all like it. Looks great as a wallpaper btw. Tried it out. :)

Hope you guys like it.

I love the thumbnail. It looks like the eyes have been drawn in. When you see the full image, you can tall that it has not.

The recent photos from Negrito (first the lit pipe, now the emergent plant) reminded me of a time when I considered photography as a journalism medium - and when my own preference for photos had nothing to do with technical merit, composition, or anything other than the message, usually social or political.

I dug up this photo from 1981, when I did a short assignment in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The rather amusing import of the photo lies in the scribbling in the window dust; despite the international tensions of the time, the US dollar was still king. This car was available for $1,000 US - but the owner wouldn't take riyal (Saudi currency).
