Thank you. The BG is just natural bokeh... it was some distance behind the bird and sign and with the 400mm lens, it turned out nice.
Looks like you added the background and foreground blur in post production. At the first glance it looks great, but after you look at it more carefully it somehow doesn't look natural. The tree trunk is blurry at the top, but the blurry and the sharp parts of it are the same distance from the camera ...

This is my first ever actual camera and these are my first ever actual pics. These are both long exposure pics taken with Panasonic Lumix TZ7(ZS3).

When these were taken it was quite dark outside and I could only really just see the field.
I'll be taking more of these sort of pics, I've got some Photoshop skills so will do some nice editing on some pics.
