got a ride on a restored B-24 bomber from WW II today

What an experience that must have been! Not many bombers, let alone combat aircraft remain from WWII.
Incredible machinery on many levels and so beautiful. The sound of those old radial engines too - what a sound!

We took the cover off of our pool to do some stonework, but haven't "opened" it yet (meaning flooding it with chemicals to kill all the undesirable life forms that make it less appealing/safe for swimming). So currently it is like a man-made pond. And this little frog calls it home. Next week we will begin the process that turns the water clear and makes it a happy place for us to swim in over the summer. Little froggy will not be so happy. So it goes.

this is creepy and cool all at once. I like grasshoppers. Not sure I'd want to run into a bunch at once though!!!

I vote forks. :D

Taking time off, I guess...
Now I have even more respect from everyone participating in one of those 365 photo posting activities. @mollyc comes to mind...

Ah. I did a 365 last year and probably won't ever do one again. I do try to shoot several times a week though, so it seems like a 365-lite. :)

The River Tay in 2006, the mountain of Schiehallion in the distance, taken with a Praktica B100 SLR and scanned. No memory of what lens or film, but colours seem a bit off.

Cheers :)

Hugh

Nice atmosphere Hugh. Been up Schiehallion many times - lovely bit of Perthshire. What a lot of people would be surprised by is that this mountain was used as the basis for one of the early (18th century) experiments to measure the earths mass. The result was actually pretty good.

Thank you. We've visited Aberfeldy in Perthshire a couple of times to catch up with relatives, but never tried climbing any mountains!

Cheers :)
