Don’t you hold your breath when you take a shot?

If I have enough time to think about it, sure.
On this one, I was focused through the viewfinder on a couple of woodpeckers in the trees, when I heard a squeaking noise, look up and see the Osprey approaching quickly.
Took the camera of the tripod and hoped for the best. Not sure if held my breath or not, but I probably had my mouth wide open :D

Sony recently released a firmware update for the A7R3 that added animal eye AF. Useful for animal subjects and it works quite well as the following shows (Sony A7R3 and Zeiss 135mm Batis lens).

More interesting for me is the upcoming firmware update to the Nikon Z7 that will add eye AF--assuming it works well (which remains to be seen), the Z7 may replace both my D850 and A7R3 for much of what I shoot.
