Guy in a Batman costume.
But isn't Batman a guy in a Batman costume? Hmmm.

Beautiful shot!Got more shots of Alfred yesterday, as he returned to nearly the same spot. This time he caught a fairly big catfish and decided to fly off with his prize to somewhere else. Yep, the catfish was curled around Alfred's beak --strange to see!

Thank you! Sometimes I luck out with trying to do Bird-in-flight (BIF) shots, but most of the time I don't. Yesterday was one of the lucky times!Beautiful shot!

Alfred has been a resident of this small lake for several years now....I've been photographing him for quite a while and he's been featured in some of my posts in the POTD threads over the last two or three years. Definitely he is familiar to many long-time participants here! Not surprisingly, I usually see him and can shoot him more frequently during the warmer months of the year, although I have spotted him occasionally during the winter, too.100% agree. Stunning shot. Hopefully, he makes a come back soon and you can share his adventure with us more 🙏🏻 🙇🏻♀️
Good stuff. That’s awesome. Looks like he’s a native and he won’t be gone missing. Glad, he won’t be long gone for too long.Alfred has been a resident of this small lake for several years now....I've been photographing him for quite a while and he's been featured in some of my posts in the POTD threads over the last two or three years. As for where he went yesterday with his prize, his catfish lunch, I was able to watch him until he disappeared around a corner but there are lots of leafy, secluded places tucked away around the lake where he could have gone to enjoy his lunch in privacy. This body of water has a lot of catfish, so Alfred doesn't stray far from here.... Actually, today, I think it was sometime mid-afternoon, I saw him soaring past when I glanced out my sliding glass door but I was busy with something on the computer and didn't get up to go out on the deck to see where he landed. Actually, I'm still reviewing, culling and editing the images I shot of him over the past couple of days. Alfred is definitely one of my favorite subjects!
