Interesting design decision the engineers made here. I wonder what made them do the loop instead of doing a little straight incline.
I'd bet that they decided that this way was safer. The drop much is steeper than it looks from this vantage point. Any large vehicles could have brake issues trying to slow while going down a more than 15% grade (my estimate).Interesting design decision the engineers made here. I wonder what made them do the loop instead of doing a little straight incline.
Reminds me of the computer generated landscape of a new browser game slow roads where you drive through similar terrain.
That is the one thing (or technically one of the many things) I got into trouble in elementary school (and it scarred me for life. ) For biology we had to bring in a flower to dissect and illustrate the parts. Most of us forgot, of course. Other students picked the hibiscus from the schools landscaping, where I picked a dandelion from the athletic field. Teacher thought I was playing a joke and got onto me...but not the other students. All the while noting that I could do the assignment illustrating the parts as she rationalized the joke backfired on me.If there is one thing my wife and I will never agree on it's dandelions. After that long stretch where greys and browns dominate the color spectrum I love those splashes of yellow. She hates them with an ironic passion. Ironic in that she loves bees, and dandelions provide most of the early season nutrition for said bees.
That looks like a fun drive!
