This is a beautiful photo!

First of all, the sunrise. Then the people is like silhouettes, and then the very interesting and beautiful clouds over the sunrise.
There is much to se in this photo, and I feel like I just stare at the photo and my mind just start to flow away. (No pun intended)
It has a dreamy feeling in lack of better words, and I love it!😊

Has he pushed out a certain bird named Alfred? Nice shot.
Thank you! Nope, Alfred will always be my favorite, but he wasn't around today so I had to make do with this guy. The other day I noticed a medium-sized bird in the culvert, and knew he wasn't either Alfred or a goose. Although I patiently watched for a while, sure enough, typical heron, he stood in the same position for a long time. He had his back facing outwards (towards me) and I couldn't see his head or face at all and so wasn't sure what he was except that I cold tell from his legs and his coloring and markings that he was definitely a heron of some sort.

We've had Night Herons (both yellow-crowned and black-crowned) around here for years but it's been a while since I've seen one so had forgotten about them. Anyway, today this guy was standing on the rocks near the footbridge and he very thoughtfully posed nicely for me. So, not Alfred, but that's OK.... I like all our feathered water birds here!
