Went to a local garden and was so happy resisted the urge to take flower photos and took 14 of dinosaurs roaming about the grounds. Then discovered the weekly theme was flowers. Wanted to go back anyway as wanted to set up a dinosaur photo bomb for a new avatar but was way too crowded with free admission to all mothers. I have an annual pass so is free every day. Heading to Kennedy Space Center today (also free admission for veterans today/week for Armed Forces Week) and doubt if there are any flowers.

Are the beavers native or invasive?

Both Beavers and Cottonwoods are native. However the beaver were pretty much wiped out by trappers in the 1800s, so these may have migrated or been transplanted from another part of the country.

And his parents. They have quite frankly been obnoxiously protective of the nest. We are ready for them to go!

I bet the cottonwoods will resprout. Plus, beavers are a lot like me, they start big projects and only get halfway through them before moving on to something else!
