One thing that really struck me when I lived in England was the number of churches that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, or at least with only a few farms and houses nearby in lieu of a village. Do you know if this one is still in use?Isolated church at Fairfield, on Romney Marsh. The village is long gone, but the church remains (the 13th century timber & wattle structure was encased in brick during the 18th century)...
Or wet socks...Anyone wold think I had a thing about waterfalls. Comments always appreciated.

Cheers AFB, looking forward to seeing them. This took about 12-stops of ND+polariser.Beautiful lighting. I was photographing waterfalls yesterday. The lighting was terrible.
Know it wellFloods, fire, the plague, civil war: some of the reasons why villages disappear, leaving just the church behind. There are no regular services any more in this church on Romney Marsh (like many other isolated churches) but it still costs $$$ to maintain...
Took this shot an hour ago, edited in my tiny motorhome, and I'm now inside the same pub, next to a roaring fire, with a pint of local beer and free wifi. Cheers!

Not sure I'll be heading back for that! Nobody wants to see me perform! If you arrive at the Kirkstone Pass Inn on Sunday afternoon, you're given a tambourine... and expected to perform!
