Compared to my XE1 it's so much nicer to use with manual glass and the IQ is outstanding. If I used it with exclusively auto lenses I don't think I would be quite so smitten, but the fact that I can still control the aperture in an old fashioned way gives me the tactile feel that I like. It will definitely replace the XE1 but the X100T isn't going anywhere.

I agree. I find the A7* series very sterile with the native glass. It is almost too detached but the IQ is astounding. So for capturing detail it is fantastic. For art, it is maybe too perfect if that makes sense. I love using MF glass on it though, the magnified view in EVF for critical focus is brilliant and you are rocking that bad boy right now MacRy. Looking forward to seeing more shots.

Under the Roosevelt bridge, shot with the very wiiiiiide, heavy and too expensive Canon EF 11-24. But boy oh boy is it ever good and sharp.

Lovely - for once a plain blue sky is not a negative feature. Great perspective (and sharp).

Dude you totally nailed it with this series of high contrast waterfall shots! Really really good. I've thoroughly enjoyed them. Good job fella.
Much appreciated MacRy! Although I like them, I must admit I thought they might be viewed as a bit meh - but I'm glad you liked them. I'm still in a phase where I'm experimenting some work, others don't. Cheers.

I was thinking that seeing them on the screen was maybe not doing them justice. I was imagining them large on a wall and I think they would be awesome.

You wish. We both know your getting a new knitted hat for Christmas.

lol. Sadly you're probably right. The knitted hat production line has begun again already now that Autumn has arrived. I'm back to being a hat model.

VERY nice.... nice lighting.

Thanks Ken. Other than a slight vignette added in LR that is straight out of camera. I'm loving this A7 :)
