I like it.

the M9 really makes it shine! :) ( if I had money burning a hole in my pocket AND planned a trip to NYC then...)

Yeah ... it was a pretty much perfect morning , had a good lens on the camera , plus there's something about the sensor on the M9 that produces almost breathtakingly clear and detailed images . Whether because there's no AA filter , or its a CCD sensor , or Kodak designed the sensor to mimic Kodachrome , or munchkins in Wetzlar sprinkle magic fairy dust on each and every M9 , somethings going on internally. One of these days maybe I'll set up a series of controlled tests between my M9 and 5D2 . Same internal settings , tripod , same focal length primes with the same maximum aperture , remote release , same ISO and see how different they really are as regards image appearance .

Went out for dinner with Mrs MacRy to our local last night and the food was terrible. Thankfully the company was wonderful.

Wow! fantastic details. Lovely composition and lighting. Very nice. I could see that as part of a tryptic for a spa...

It's November on the International Dateline.

Welcome to Photo of the Day. The POTD thread was started by iGary in May, 2006 and converted to a monthly thread in November 2007 by Arn. POTD is one of the most popular picture groups on MacRumors, often exceeding 500 posts and 20,000 views per month.

Photo of the Day is intended to be a showcase for your best pictures. There is no limit to your gear, just your imagination. P&S and film cameras are welcome along with DSLRs. There are no themes like the Weekly Contest, and no winners (or losers) either.

Policies

*One Photo per Day - Don't post more than one photo each day.

*Multi-Quote - To comment on several photos, click the "+ (Multi-Quote) button. This puts all your comments in one post. Multi-Quoting is required on all of the MacRumors forums.

*SFW (Safe for Work) only - This is a site - wide rule. If you wouldn't show it in a public place, then it's NSFW (not safe for work). Think before you post.

*Describe your photo - Tell what it is and where you took it. If you know the EXIF data of a photo, include it. The following EXIF fields are recommended: Camera, ISO, Focal Length, Shutter/Aperture and Lens.

Note: Anyone may start the Photo of the Day thread on the first of the month GMT. Please copy a quote of this post to maintain all the formatting.

Beautiful photo. I have you down as a romantic :)

As a Fuji user, how are you enjoying the A7? I dipped my toe in the Sony waters recently with a mint, very low shutter count RX1R. The IQ is every bit as good as people said it was, but I very much prefer using my Fujis so I think I'm going to part with it.

Compared to my XE1 it's so much nicer to use with manual glass and the IQ is outstanding. If I used it with exclusively auto lenses I don't think I would be quite so smitten, but the fact that I can still control the aperture in an old fashioned way gives me the tactile feel that I like. It will definitely replace the XE1 but the X100T isn't going anywhere.
