A pair of volcanoes at the distance, cutting through the horizon, the "sleeping woman" (iztlaccíhuatl) and her lover/guardian (popocatépetl)
Thanks. This is one of five fawns that have been traveling with one doe. I know of one mom who had an unfortunate hook-up with a cougar. Perhaps another one or two does met a similar fate. All of the babies are a bit small for this late in the fall.A very cute animal. Well done with your camera!
Ah.....a Muckle Coo! Lovely new friend you've got there......Met a new friend when out walking the Pentland Hills today

Had a similar sunset with "virga" a couple years ago. Virga being rain that doesn't quite reach the ground. Looks like you have some of that going on. He's a couple pics of that sunset. Never seen anything like it in our area before or since.
Virga reminds my of something about being a virgin. I have never heard rain being called "virga" in Spanish. I stand corrected as follows: Virga is exactly what you posted above (just found the meaning of it):Had a similar sunset with "virga" a couple years ago. Virga being rain that doesn't quite reach the ground. Looks like you have some of that going on. He's a couple pics of that sunset. Never seen anything like it in our area before or since.

Wow that’s a serious hematoma. ?Something a little different. Surgery today resolving a hematoma from a bicycling accident a year ago that didn't resolve on it's own. (High speed road rash slide and the hematoma is where the handlebar was between me and the asphalt.)
