Yeah, it is all over the place here in the Raleigh/Cary NC area. A lot of people have it for landscaping shrubs in my neighborhood, and you can find it along some of the greenway walking trails also.

Nope a canvas effect in PS Elements. I actually did a soft light duplicate top layer, lightened shadows, darkened highlights and applied sharpening filter to that top layer. Then went back to the base layer and applied the canvas effect.
Note: Despite the name a soft light duplicate layer over a normal layer actually increases contrast and saturation.
When I get a shot that I like but is out of focus/blurry etc I also do something creative to try to salvage it.
Here is a coyote sitting on top of a large boulder in the middle of our horse pen, looking like he owns the world. Filter applied in the Painnt app.
