Is this a photo of a canvas?
Nope a canvas effect in PS Elements. I actually did a soft light duplicate top layer, lightened shadows, darkened highlights and applied sharpening filter to that top layer. Then went back to the base layer and applied the canvas effect.
Note: Despite the name a soft light duplicate layer over a normal layer actually increases contrast and saturation.
 
An experiment with an out of focus image, otherwise destined for the discard pile. Feel free to use the sad face if it's not to your liking.

When I get a shot that I like but is out of focus/blurry etc I also do something creative to try to salvage it.
Here is a coyote sitting on top of a large boulder in the middle of our horse pen, looking like he owns the world. Filter applied in the Painnt app.
Edit- put wrong version of photo in, this is the one I meant.
