What's terrible? Certainly not this picture. I like the dark water. Gives it a nice feel IMO.

Someone on this forum was a bit 'sniffy' about Hull (or 'Ull, as we say in Yorkshire). But, after a few photo trips, I'm rather warming to the place. The old part of town is austerely atmospheric, with loads of fantastic pubs...
Hull is going to be the 'City of Culture' in 2017, so I'm hoping I'll get some stock pic sales...
Besides a great magazine photo, it would make a excellent desktop background!
Took this before my trip overseas while jogging. The deer was practicing the high-hurdles.

sorry, been playing with my daughters this morning so I am in a silly mood.Lovely image. Amazing how the breaks in the algae look like the silhouette of another bird. Almost like a peacock.

I could do with some! I've been watching a few tutorials on YouTube. Mostly trying to get the flashes to behave is the issue! I have a couple of SP900's and I can borrow more if needed. An umbrella and small soft box. That's about it.Would you like any tips?

What sort of umbrella's? I use softboxes myself. Shoot throughs are tricky as far as spillage is concerned. Personally, I'd go bounce.
