Display at the Truman presidential library. I posted a pic of just the planes back in 2009, but as I was reviewing some old pics I think I like this one better that includes some of the shadows on the wall (it's a moving display that shows the shadows of the bombers moving forward--strangely still topical).

My new really expensive £12 plastic prime lens, 60mm f8. Apparently there's a whole culture based around these weird Chinese toy cameras and lenses, so I thought I'd give it a try.

As taken, just cropped, no other PP.

Lomography!?!?

Great little lenses for messing around with. Tricky to focus thought. Nice result!

Bayko for me!

I went to the Canadian Rockies in Banff in early Sept to visit a friend, a trip I'd been wanting to take for a long time. Of course, as soon as I get there the clear blue skies I keep seeing in my friend's photos away and it's super cold & rainy. lol. Anyway, we got 1 really good day and decided to hike the Plain of Six Glaciers trail. It was really cloudy and foggy when we started. Best I could do. :)

It may not have made for such a pleasant hike, but to me that sky adds a lot of character to the photo and goes well with the colours. Nice one!

Thank you for the comments, Kenoh! I appreciate them. This photo like so many other of my aspen photos the result of a drive down a busy highway and a sudden scream, "Pull over here." Sometimes I just aim and shoot--hoping for the best! (I haven't caught on to the quote trick yet!)

Nice treatment, reminds me of a Clarkson Stanfield drawing

Cheers :)

Funnily enough, there is very little processing there. It was raining like crazy and the raindrops made a nice fabric-like textures while falling and gave this very sharpening effect to the picture. I only converted to B/W and corrected the exposure. No other post-processing.

The culture is based on the Russian Holga cameras. The lens is fun if you play with it a bit but I suspect it is only really usable in live view?

Your brother in law has great taste!

Ah no sorry, I mean yes he has got taste dont get me wrong but by garage, I mean he is a mechanic specialising in Porsche, Ferrari and Lambirghinis. Not garage as in his garage at home. He amazingly gets lots of trade in Glasgow!

Send me his address so I know where to go to get my Ferrari serviced!
And yes I assumed you meant garage at home!

Mine for today. Not much shooting of late (which I hope to put right this weekend), So just messing in the garden the other evening.

I like the bokeh here. It really is autumn, isn't it. That's the feeling I get anyway when looking at it. :)

This is lovely. The blue of the sky & water matching so closely + the reflections give it that extra dimension. Well done.

I have a few of these toy cameras, including an actual Holga. I bring them out occasionally when I feel like playing with film. They are fun and I enjoy shooting with them. Mostly, I enjoy the nostalgia of film. The feeling of the unknown when you shoot. I miss it a little bit.
