Nice shot Mark. What did you use to stack the images?
A couple of miles down the road from Ogwen. Comments always appreciated.

I hear you on the weather matching the season, Molly! Whoever would have thought that we in the DC area would be able to spend time outdoors today in shorts and short-sleeved shirts in OCTOBER? It is really October, right?
Technical discussions and endless evaluations of exotic lenses are no substitute for good photography.
I really like this image
Thanks, that’s the one I was looking at on the App Store. I assume you would recommend it?
It’s good if you have a clear uninterrupted horizon. Trees etc poking above the horizon pose a problem, especially the more detailed and intricate the tree is. You can go in and manually edit the masks but they aren’t feathered and can be quite time consuming to clean up. It’s still worth it for reducing noise. I’ve used it for sky and if there are reflections in water, I run it again with the same image set, but on the inverse by masking the water rather than the sky, so it tracks and aligns the reflected stars. I then combine the sky and water stacked images into my base frame in PS. I’ll be honest and say that I think it’s a bit overpriced as it’s kinda basic.
I’m seeing a tint towards the purple end as well.Hm, I'm not seeing a purple tint, neither purely visually, nor when actually measuring.
I was tinkering around with Affinity Photo's presets, and this one is labeled "Dramatic". "Overly dramatic" would probably fit better in this case.
The effect is a more toned down here:
