This tree in my neighbor's yard has been bugging me for a while. It seems like it would make an interesting image, except for the fact that the background is so distracting. With this morning's fog, and a little underexposure, the background is less prominent, but I'm still not real happy with it. But, it's been raining nearly a week and I just had to make something.
It might be October, but it's still a beach day.
Sensō-ji Temple, Tokyo
The several paths to arrive to the temple are plenty of stalls with all kind of food and wine for the gods. This was a boat full of veggies.
The wine is kept in barrel along the paths and there are the most precious wines and from the best years from France, Italy, Spain and the rest of the world. Lots of sake barrels too, but those are wrapped in straw. We were wondering if the barrel were still full or the monks had a good party time to time.

I wish I'd had something longer than 24-70mm with me for this walk. But that's what happens when combining photography with a different activity.

A pair of male northern flickers in a bit of a standoff. They do an interesting series of head-bobs as they size each other up. Nothing more came of it though.

Yes it is @mollyc. I took the picture from the Great Falls Overlook Trail on the MD side of the park. It's on the other side of the river from the Visitors Center and Overlook point on the VA side of Great Falls.
