It's been a long while since I uploaded a photo. I'm in the process of retiring from full-time work at the end of the year, so work and family matters (all good, new grandkids and more to come) have been occupying my time. However, I'm taking time off soon to head to the Eastern Sierras for some fall foliage photography. In the interim, here is a bracketed photo I took of Dead Horse Point, UT at sunrise about 6 years ago run through the new Aurora 2018 software upgrade I received. I am embarrassed to show the original HDR post-processing but I really like how the new software works to create more realistic pictures.

U.K.
So I'm not overly keen on the painted effect as it's not to my taste. It seems to have introduced a lot of noise (grain) to the image.

However I think its a lovely composition with the plus points being the seagull looking into the frame as well as the positioning. Horizon is perfectly straight to which is another plus.

this is funny because the horizon was definitely not straight in the original picture i had to dabble with photo shop for a while before i got it pretty much perfect.:)

Well thats not uncommon. Especially if shooting handheld. However the fact that it was correct when you presented it to the world is the bit that really matters.

Nice shot Florian and congrats on full-time retirement. It's been 6 months for me and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Of course time flies when you're having fun and I'm enjoying every moment.

Superb angle! Great dramatic light!
Thanks :) It was taken with the camera held high above my head, right in close. There is no barrier between you and the planes at the museum, so you can walk right up and touch them, which allows for some interesting compositions. I highly recommend a visit if you are in Hawaii and have an interest in planes and\or military history.

I am binge watching Westworld at the moment so I guess that is why this series is so appealing to me right now. I do like the palette of the series though.. Beautiful captures.
[doublepost=1506764800][/doublepost]Classic horror movie picture (I think).... cue the screechy incidental violin music...

"Don't go into the basement"...... well its the downstairs loo actually but that ruins the moment... :)

I know this is from the September thread so I'm a little late to the party, but I love this Ken.
