That's all the info I could wish for: thanks for sharing! Great little camera, that PowerShot. I had one myself, and believe they've made quite a few versions.

Yeah, when I got it 2001, Iā€™d been shooting film for 40 years and it was my first digital. I paid an arm and a leg for a 1GB IBM Microdrive to use with it.

Oh, 40 years in film. You must know quite a bit about NTSC / PAL / SECAM. And stuff on why 29.97 is actually an approx since it is 30/1.001. And modulation. And stuff about SMPTE "C" colorimetry.

Things I know nothing of; I just read the entire manual that came with FCP7 šŸ˜ƒ

Yeah the prices for memory / storage have dropped so much that's quite cringeworthy whenever people say Apple is overcharging us for upgrading RAM and NAND.

Cheers!

Weathered the storm with no damages other than cleanup. Previous hurricanes have had trees down across the road. Still nasty wind and drizzle so havenā€™t walked the neighborhood, or even across street down to lake. Worst was 1 to 2 AM, hearing howling wind and driving rain in the dark. Supposedly had 14ā€ rain and continuing to this afternoon.

Something odd I'm noticing. When I shoot a photo with my 13 mini, the camera type is missing from the metadata. If you click on any photo here in the thread, and then below it click "View media item", you can see among other things the metadata. On almost all of them, you will see the camera type, including for other models of iPhone. But try doing it on my school-bus-yellow pic above, and there is no camera listed. In fact there is a LOT of normal metadata missing.

However, if I go onto my phone, into Photos, I can search for pics by camera. I search on "iPhone 5c" and it calls up all the ones I took with my 5c, for example. And there, when I search on "13 mini", Photos DOES display in the info window that it was taken by an iPhone 13 mini. Just not here. I haven't tested in other locations.

EDIT: At least, you can click on SOME photos here in the thread and get that information. Perhaps if you copy-paste instead of using "Attach files" it doesn't show?

Some people strip out the metadata when they save for web. I don't often post photos from my phone to know what happens to the metadata, but many photographers purposely avoid having metadata attached to their images.
