Some people strip out the metadata when they save for web. I don't often post photos from my phone to know what happens to the metadata, but many photographers purposely avoid having metadata attached to their images.
Aha, I understand what you're saying. But I'm not doing that, I'm just taking photos, and a few times I've attached them to posts here. Doesn't make sense why it wouldn't appear...UNLESS there is some new setting that hides the metadata (or an old setting with a new default).

Oh, 40 years in film. You must know quite a bit about NTSC / PAL / SECAM. And stuff on why 29.97 is actually an approx since it is 30/1.001. And modulation. And stuff about SMPTE "C" colorimetry.

Things I know nothing of; I just read the entire manual that came with FCP7 šŸ˜ƒ

Yeah the prices for memory / storage have dropped so much that's quite cringeworthy whenever people say Apple is overcharging us for upgrading RAM and NAND.

Cheers!

Jupiter +4 moons.jpg

Last night I took a photo of Jupiter and got lucky because the biggest moons were there too. The night before there were only 3 and the sky was hazy with smoke. Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto were the moons first spotted by Galileo. You can see other little spots, not stars, not dirt on my lens...Any clue?

Here where I live, Hurricane Ian was forecast to make a direct hit in Tampa Bay. Then it moved south a bit. I have a few family members that live at ā€™ground zeroā€™ that I have not heard from yet - cell towers are still down. Those of us just north of where it landed are grateful to be safe and sound. Not much to clean up.

Fishing anyone? Lake rose about 4ā€™. Havenā€™t checked this morning. May be a little higher with surrounding runoff reaching the lake. This is the lake that is across the street from me. The other dock next to the boat ramp is totally submerged, including the post that extend above the dock platform.

So tempted to post 2 photos - before/after - but think may have posted the B&W of both docks in a June POTD when playing with film.
