OMG!!! You WIN MacRumors for the week!!! I remember the hysterical movies from the, what, 50's? The HUGE lizards, the huge ants, and grasshoppers and all of it... So hysterical. Especially the lizards. Ray Harryhausen was a genius and very creative, and made some of the most hysterical movies after technology advanced.

I mean, he really freaked a whole lot of people the heck out, and I'm sure enjoyed every minute of it, but now? Perspective shots of bugs and lizards? We are so over that. We seem to demand guns and blood and gore and body parts... And someone made a movie with quicksand, and people bled in the quicksand, and it made me almost physically sick when I watched it. So obviously fake, and yet so absolutely gross, and No CGI At All! Wow...

And it's Friday and I'm rambling. Happy Labor Day Eve!

Thanks! I never knew that's what it's called. And you're right about window seats.

Oh gawd, a family member was ripping me for windows seats, and said 'Well, at least you get to see where you are going to crash!' and I said, no, I saw the beautiful turquoise waters as we came in to Antigua, and the roof tops of UK England, and the water of the bay coming in to San Francisco, and the wall of storm just north of O'Hare that we flew into, it seemed, to land, and the lightning and rain/hale pelting the plane as we came into Kona, and the sun coming up as we winged west from the UK, and Sydney as we circled to land, and the ocean as we came into Bermuda, and so much more, all of it so exciting and amazing, and worth the price of the seat. And everyone can enjoy a window seat (some can only look up: wings), so it's pretty awesome that *everyone* gets a crack at it. Do it, if you can. Seeing the Glory, seeing the clouds just outside the window, seeing the blue sky as you all rise above, Phoenix like, out of the clouds, planes as you see them buzzing around, the ground, all of it.

They always seem to be saying..."If I were a little bit bigger or you were a little bit smaller...".
In my college days, I painted houses in the summer to save up cash. I remember one day painting some soffits, and on the roof nearby was a praying mantis watching me. I did what I could from where I was, then moved the ladder further down the house. Get back up to the top, and there he was again, staring at me. I think he followed me a couple more times that day. It was rather creepy! I really do think if they could, theyā€™d eat us, though he would be no match for a 2.5ā€ brush loaded with paint!
