My grandfather was in charge of the guard - back in the day when Colour Sergeant in 2nd Btn Seaforth. He is listed in the War Memorial, killed in action at Ypres on 15 November 1915 as Company Sergeant Major of the volunteers who enlisted to form the 7th.

The USS Missouri (BB-63, the "Mighty Mo") is an Iowa-class battleship. In 1944, she was the last battleship commissioned by the United States, finally decommissioned in 1992, and is now a floating museum in Pearl Harbor. The ship participated in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa and shelled the Japanese home islands. Her quarterdeck was the site of the signing of the surrender by Japan to end WWII.

Taken from the lower Akimina Parkway, shooting back towards Waterton Lake. The townsite is hidden behind the foreground ridge from about the center then off to the right.
