firework photos always come out looking nice. even the crappiest of quality ones do. low light photos are so hard to take, but I guess that's a lot of light in the sky to ease the shot.

hey, the chicago bean! I live right over here so it's fun to see photos of it sometimes. only sometimes.

I wish everyone could say what cameras and lenses they use. This thread would make a nice resource for those of us looking into a buying a good camera/lenses based on what pros are able to do with them.

You can make magic with a cheap Nikon D40 and all of its 6-megapixels..

If you look closely at photo #4 you'll see car #6 has an old Apple Computer logo on the rear wing fin! :apple:

Would having a weekly theme here be a dumb idea?
A designated theme for a week and everyone can post their photos that fit into that category? Would be an organized way to showcase your photos and view other people's photos, rather than absolutely having to go into their portfolio, search around, and randomly come across it.

We can start Monday!
Or Sunday.. Who really counts Sunday as the first day of the week though?

A fine idea, but I think it's better suited in the Digital Photography forum where similar threads reside.

I used to shoot semi-professionally, family became a lot more important, (wife had some 'C', was a wake up call) so I gave it in to spend more time at home. I thoroughly enjoyed the work though.

Did motorsport photography, just a Nikon D200, 18-70 kit lens, Nikon 70-200VR f2.8 and Sigma 120-300 f2.8.

I'm seriously like the laziest photographer ever. I have the knowledge, and skill, but am too lazy to set up/get up early/set up lighting/etc to get the shots I want.

I used to shoot a lot back in my college days, but everything was lost due to someone I know breaking all of my computer equipment (including my hard drive of all photos) in a fit of rage. Since then I just haven't worked for good pictures :/ The loss of all my pictures kind of ruined photography for me.

Here are a few that I like though, nothing special but I like them. The ornament is a lensbaby shot. I know some people don't like Lensbabies but I do!

Also the first one has a seal in it, he is kind of camouflaged.

This is a macro image of my blue lava lamp. I know, I know :D
At least it makes for a creamy blue wallpaper.
