Finally got out on the water tonight and took a few shots with the SE3. I know it’s not a 13, but I think the standard lens produces similar results in normal daylight conditions (and I didn’t want to start a thread for SE3 photos).

How about getting a camera comparable to the Samsung so we can take good pictures of the moon? As of now, Apple iPhones produce just a bright blur with no detail. Cannot take pictures of a lunar eclipse or concerts or stage performances.

Aww I should post some photos sometime :O

One of the unexpected things I’ve grown to love is how much easier it is to get natural bokeh affect with the shallower depth of field vs. older iPhones.

But, it really does beg for a telephoto to get the close up of things without digital zooming.

New to this thread - some awesome pics and given me some inspiration, thanks! Really pleased with the 13 camera. Here’s a couple of mine from a walk last week by the river Wye in sunny Herefordshire, UK

I have a 13 Pro Max, it's huge and heavy but takes good pictures. The 13 Mini is tiny and light but takes equally good pictures for most use cases. That's why I like coming to this thread, there's something really satisfying about the 'form factor to picture quality' ratio of the Mini. Something as small as the original iPhone but with more screen real estate, the very latest in camera tech, and the fastest mobile processor in the industry? AND you can palm the thing comfortably? That's seriously a lot more impressive than a phablet doing the same.

I've tried the Mini in the Apple Store a few times and every time I can't help but feel it's the perfect phone for those that want the latest camera tech to take pictures of life moments but in a form factor that dissuades unnecessary media usage and distraction during said moments. For me it's not big enough to comfortably consume media (browsing, social media, YouTube, etc.) and that's exactly why it's brilliant.

You've summed up my use of my 13 Mini perfectly.

1. As a phone/texting device;
2. Great photos;
3. Music Player;
4. Banking apps;
5. Maps and navigation;
6. Other stuff…
7. …
8. …
9. …
10. Social Media

I never use it to watch videos… any phone — no matter how huge IMHO does not do films justice.
