Has anyone gotten any dead pixels in their camera sensor? I only discovered this with night shots. Daytime looks fine, but at night I get a bright pixel and a line across the top of my images. Only with the 1x sensor with 48MP shots.

That’s pretty bad. Definitely will require a replacement. Apple will either replace the entire phone or the camera because it is still under manufacturers warranty if this is the 16 pro or Pro Max. I would call them and make an appointment if you have an Apple Store nearby otherwise they can do an express shipment and send you a replacement. I feel like it will get worse if you don’t get it fixed.

That's convincing me to go back to HEIF for a while. Do you shoot at 48mp?
Yes the original is at 48mp. I reduced it to 19mp for the forum. You just have to remember to expose for the highlights and make sure that you don’t get anything over exposed (within reason) and then lift your shadows during the edit.

With my best guess this is approximately 100% crop, maybe a little bit more and the resolution is good

I wish we had long cold winters.. I don’t ever get snow! You’re probably tired of it, I’d like to see it. I’m in southeast Texas near Beaumont and Houston.
I'm in DFW right now and can't imagine how it feels for you guys down there right now. 70s and high humidity here right now. Even for Texas this just doesn't feel right. Thankfully getting away to Copper Mountain this weekend and spending Christmas there.
