All these people posting food pictures when I haven't eaten out in over a year due to strict lockdown. feels bad man.jpg

What an awesome view!

Thanks. I'm old and retired now but have lived the majority of my life close to our current house - some years elsewhere: Alaska, Louisiana, military, lots of work travel. But the view here at home has never ceased to enthrall me, it has never grown old. From the same viewpoint, I could turn and see Mt. Rainier. I am most fortunate.

I look forward to more of your views!😀

The photos right above were taken in the Arizona desert. The foothills around the Four Peaks mountains. We were watching as a snow storm was moving in through and tried to get some good pictures. I wish my 12 Pm had better zoom though!
As much as the competition has a better zoom, I still don't think it's good. The iPhone camera complex is the best calibrated! We have perfect filming, perfect stabilization, calibrated colors, one of the best portrait mode and excellent night mode! When Apple notices that it has good zoom technology, I'm sure it will be implemented on the next iPhone's.

All true...but for landscapes like mine above the zoom doesn't have to be perfect. It just has let let me get closer shots without being closer. Maybe not the 100x zoom the S21 Ultra has but 30x or 50x would be great.

Problem is that those are digital, not optical, zooms. Much can be accomplished with post-processing cropping.

Now I am not saying one camera is better than the other...just saying I want a better zoom on the iPhone 13 that is all.
But cropping doesn't always have the same effect. Look at these shots below.
I could hear the bird in the first shot but could not see it until I zoomed in.
I run the risk of it flying away if I try to get too close.

The zoom is pretty good here. Not perfect mind you.
