It's been over 12 years since I last had this, but last night I got to sit in my living room in the UK going through a 6-pack of Alaskan Amber!
This seemed like a bad idea, and it was.
Mexican restaurant had a black and tan on the menu, that consisted of Guinness, and Modelo.
Guiness and lime don't mix lol.
Oh well went down smooth after a 70 mile bike ride.

On holiday at the Mosel river in Germany and while I love a good local riesling, a good Rothaus from the Black Forest is always great 👍
Forgot I had this in the fridge. Texels Jutters bock. An autumn bock beer that might not be that suited for this time of the year, but it still tastes great. And you'll notice the 25% clearance sticker denoting that I bought it way after autumn
Brings me right back to touring the brewery and tasting their island-exclusive brews!

I hadn't realised it but it's pretty much unknown outside of my part of the world
It's a caramely dark beer, malty and a bit bitter. Great for cold dark days. We also have spring bock beer which is a much lighter coloured beer.
Also the name of this one "Jutters bock" refers to the traditional beach combers of the island of Texel, who would often search for washed up treasure during the cold very windy days and who'd like to have a "warming up" drink afterwards. (which is more often the very strong Juttertje liquor, which this beer also has notes of)

Sounds absolutely delicious, and this also strikes me as the sort of beer that I would absolutely love, as I love the German equivalent.
I have heard of 'bock' (and even 'double bock' - the superb Korbinian beer from Weihenstephaner is classed as, or, described as, a 'double bock', actuallly, as a 'dopplebock') beers, which hail from Germany and the German brewing tradition; and they tend to be quite strong, dark, and caramelly style beers (which I love), but, until I read your post, I had never heard of seasonal bocks.

"Hoofd in de wolken" (head in the clouds) on of Lidl's many types of craft IPAs. I must admit that I've never had a New England style IPA but this one is a nice fruity, sour and bitter one.
Lidl has some great beers that are crafted for them, I especially enjoy their Crius strong blonde and Patronus weizen.
I also bought "Zwenkende Zweefmolen IPA"
Peach Habanero Storm, West Coast Style IPA. Man this one is so good; enjoyed it at the brewery over the weekend and brought a couple 4-packs. Happy I did
Enjoying a Madri at the Green Man pub in Putney. Excellent light lager, perfect for the relatively warm temperatures in London this weekend
And a Peroni at the Pitcher & Piano by Richmond Bridge. Another light lager perfect after walking from Putney to Richmond by way of Richmond Park. A very nice day out in London.

My wife brought home a number of French micro brews last week. Here's the one I've tasted so far, an IPA 4,2%.
France has been producing very good craft beers, something I would not have guessed before moving here to Europe.
Crooked Run Harmonize, 16% ABV barleywine aged in peach brandy barrels. Sooooo smooth!!
Dang, I saw this when I was in Japan, but it was never at any of the bars I was drinking at. Will have to try it next time. I did notice it though, as the name is very similar to 'F**K' in RussianCan't go.wrong with a Yebisu
That sounds amazing! Crooked Run, as in the one in Virginia? I remember drinking there back in 2014/2015 maybe when they were just a wee nano-brewery. I'll have to see if I can dig up those photos.
