we have a little "Hooters" rip off chain here in TN. "Toot's". lol. it is our haunt after our soccer games. girls in tight shorts etc etc. greasy, bad, bad food. but they recently received a stand alone stella artois tap. my soccer buddies and i were very relieved when we saw this. they only have four taps and they are saved for bud light, miller light, shock top, and yingling*. in the favor they do have a pretty good bottle selection.

*don't care how ya spell it. it is the worst beer i've ever tasted. the after taste reminds me of walking through a mist of my mom's hair spray...

Last night was a good night. Downed a couple Dragon's Milk, then finished off with some Chimay; had a nice little buzz going

Tell me more about the Dragon's Milk; what sort of stout is it?

Re Chimay, I seem to recall that there are several varieties, and that the strength, and type of beer is colour-coded.

In any case, I hope you enjoyed them.

Its an American double/Imperial Stout - 10% ABV and drinks very easily. I dont think the bourbon is as strong in this, but its something you can definitely taste. This was my first time trying Chimay - I liked it VERY much.

Imperial stouts, I like, but we do not see that many offerings from the US on Our Side Of The Pond.

I find it to be nothing out of the ordinary, typical light pilsner type that goes well with Thai food.

This...

Thanks for the feedback; the world is full of mediocre beers, and, unless lack of choice decrees that this is what I must sample, (in which case, I will do so with gratitude), I prefer to give them a rather wide berth.

Sadly the fridge is currently empty! :(

True.

Well, time maybe to add a six-pack of Stellla, which will break nether the weight bank, nor the financial bottom line, as a possible secreted treasure, a hoard known and there if needed when necessary.

My beer tonight - my first in a week - it has been wine all week - is from the Odell Brewing Company, the lovely porter (a 'chocolate milk stout') that goes by the name of Lugene.
