My friend owns a bike shop. The car park behind the shops has height restriction barriers.

What happened to you is a regular occurrence, the worst one so far was £10,000 worth of damage to a brand new Audi S4 Avant.

My friend doesn't mind too much because he gets paid to fix the bikes.:)

Yep, online therapy is good for the soul, finding out I'm just human and ***** happens.

Just picked up this bad boy. I tried a Cannondale Synapse Carbon 4, Supersix 3, Giant Defy Advanced 3, Trek 4.5, Scott CR1, Cervelo R3 and an Orbea that I do not remember. I feel this aluminum frame was more comfortable than a cheaper carbon frame. The R3 was superior IMO, but $1k over what I wanted to spend for my first road bike.

I wanted to try some BMC's and a Pinarello FP2, but after days of driving to different bike shops I did not feel like driving over 2 hours to try just 2-3 more bikes, especially when the S1 quietly whispered in my ear "take me home" :D

Looking forward to wearing out the tires to install some red tires, as well as pick up a much lighter wheelset with an aero profile.

Have you looked at the Arundel Sideloader cages?

I have, but I didn't care for them much.

ijen0311, you literally just had to 1 up me on my Cervélo S1 post eh ;)

VERY nice bike, and some bitchin wheels to go with it. Do you race?

Thank you. Yours is lovely too, and by all indications is the last version of the S1.

I do TRIs, but didn't want a full tri bike. So I kinda race :p

Someday I'll own a nice roadbike like ijen's. :(

Until then, new bars for the city bike! :) And yes, I stick my bike in the wall vertically. :p As long as the tires are at least 23c and are pumped up to at least 80 psi, it'll shove in there and stay.

Awesome bike. Altough, I'd add a rear brake :p

Thanks! It's a fixed gear. Having a rear brake is nice, but on a fixed gear essentially unnecessary. :)

Also the cross-processing the photo went through makes my chainring teeth and chain look all rusted and nasty, but there's not a speck of rust on it! I need to learn how to take better photos and stop using Photoshop so much.

I've put about 100 miles on the Reynolds Assaults as of now, including an 82 mile ride, and they're fantastic. If anyone is looking for an aero, all-carbon wheel, I highly suggest this. I can't say a bad thing about them. Spin up fast, roll strong, and are nice and light :D

I would love to buy a nice set like you have, but I only use the bike as a workout right now, so the added weight of my 1900g wheelset is a plus right now. It amazes me one can have an aero wheelset that weighs <1500g. 1330g for the Reynolds at about $1200 seems like a pretty good buy though, plus they really do look bitchin.

Anyone have a suggestion for an On-Campus bike? I like the style of the Huffy Cranbrook but I've heard they have subpar build quality.

A cruiser. Good choice. There are many of those around campus. I don't know much about them though.

I just got into cycling. I also decided to go with a high end aluminum frame vs a "cheap" carbon frame. 2010 Cannondale CAAD9. SRAM Force and Rival groupo. Pretty fun so far -

The CAAD frames are bitchin. Cannondale was my other choice had I not gone with the Cervelo. Enjoy it, as I am sure you will.

Thanks - Ironically I was looking at the S1 also. Cervelos are nice bikes from what I hear. I just ended up getting a pretty good deal on the CAAD9 since the CAAD10 is coming out. These days I am not sure if it matters but I did like that the 9 was US made where as the 10 will be shopped out of asia somewhere apparently. :(

May not look like much, but I had to go through quite some effort to find one being sold and getting it back to my home(land) in one piece before the biking season was over.
