I guess I can play this game.

Here is my first vehicle. I bought it at age 16:

Here is the second vehicle I owned. I got this one at age 18:

The third vehicle I have owned I sold. I don't have any pictures online that I can link to. It was a 1996 2WD Toyota 4Runner, white. Sad that it was 2WD. I sold it because I couldn't afford it. So instead I bought this (you can probably detect a theme):

This is my current mode of transportation. It's having clutch problems and I'm going back to driving the red car until that can be solved:

I still own all three of the cars. The only one remotely close to operable is the red one. This is what happened to the white one, among a few other engine problems:

The green one has a blown head gasket so it's been used for lots of parts and it's just sitting around waiting for it's ultimate death. Anyway, hope you've enjoyed the story of personal collection.

The red and green cars are Conquests, right? Those are awesome!

All three are. The white one is an '87 Technica, considered a narrow body. The green one is an '88 TSi and the red is an '89 TSi, both considered a wide body (notice the flairs over the wheels).

Not many know what they are. I actually didn't post what they were on purpose to see if anybody would either point it out or ask. :D I rather enjoy owning mine. My brake cables should be here later today, so hopefully by this time tomorrow I'll be able to drive the red one!

it was the fenders that gave them away. I read somewhere that the TSi models are known as the "over fendered" car. I recognized it because my in-laws used to own a red one. I got to drive it a couple of times. :D:D:D:D Other than a little turbo lag on acceleration, it was a very nice drive :p

That lag can be solved. Mine doesn't have much lag at all now. I'm sure a lot of things can be read about the Conquest/Starion. It doesn't surprise me that you read that. People are just jealous that it has a 2.6L 4 cyl. engine with a turbo and their car doesn't. :p

I just paid for registration on the red one. $38 + $6 for a 15 day temporary permit so I can go get it inspected. Now I just need to trade a dead battery in and buy a new one and it'll be golden!

There is a friend of mine here in town that has one that has also been parked since winter. His is crazy fast! Upgraded the turbo to a T3/T4 60-1 and redid the intake and put stand alone engine management on it. I continue to ask myself if he is going to sell it. He said he toyed with the idea in the past. Hmmm.... maybe it's time to give him a call again. :D

My in-laws went through something like 3 turbos on theirs. When they went to sell it, they wouldn't sell it to me (this is like 10-12 years ago)

I would have loved to have had it.

As requested a few pages back, pictures of my Aura. I just hand washed it and gave it a good cleaning over. So it is all nice and shiny.

It has been 1 year and 6 months since I( Ok, I confess my parents :p ) had bought the car. It has 9300 miles on it and I love it to death still( even though I would of wanted the G8 if it was out then. RWD yum).

I did a few "mods" to the car. One is evident in the last picture. I got rid of the POS Goodyear Eagle LS2 tires. They were horrible in the rain, ice, snow, etc. They would scream for traction and spin out even on the lightest of acceleration. I replaced them with Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons( only all season tire at the time that fit the Aura's weird rim size). They are rated to go to 186 MPH( so need to remove the governor and turbo the 3.6 V6 :p ). They handle much better in the rain, snow, and ice then the LS2's did. Though snow is still their weakness. The 2nd thing I did is to change the oil over to Mobil 1 Synthetic oil. Overall I am averaging 19.8 MPG( close to the 2007 EPA city rating of 20).

Curious about the Aura - Can you get that with any of the Euro engines? Like the 2.8 Turbo etc :)

Or anything smaller/more eco :)

Truth be told, the Aura is an Opelized Pontiac G6. It shares little to nothing with the Opel Vectra besides the front end styling. So no, it doesn't have the Vectra's engine choices. It comes with a 2.4 American Ecotec 4 cylinder( mated to a 4 speed now, but in 2009 gains a 6 speed auto), a 3.5 OHV V6( killed in 2009), and a 3.6 DOHC V6.

Though the 2010 Aura looks promising. It should be almost a 100% clone of the Opel Insignia that replaces the Vectra( sort of like how the Saturn Astra is the Opel Astra).

Beautiful Aura! That car looks much better than the Pontiac G6 ever thought of being, especially when it comes to the interior. I like the G6, but it's bad when the interior of that car looks worse than the one in my 8 year old Camry. Otherwise, I would have traded months ago.

I'm saving up for a used CTS myself... :D

When not on two wheels, it's my 2006 MINI Cooper S. Which might also end up on two wheels occasionally...

I'm here to win the MacRumors Forums "smallest car engine" award with my 0.7 litre beast!

What's 1000cc in liters? ... my math is dismal.
I wanted to go greener, and looked at a Prius. But after taking a pencil to it, found out that the price difference alone was almost 10 years of free gas for the Smart.
Best car I've ever had, and I've had plenty.

That would be 1 litre.

cc means cubic centimetre which is equivalent to 1mL.

Smart cars are pretty cool, although I do have to laugh when seeing the Police Smart car.

I wonder why I'm late for work all the time.

Ha ha ha, I think everyone has a memory of getting stuck in one of those from being too morbidly obese to fit in it.

Here's the car I'm saving up for: (click)

I'm caught in a tough situation because I have a car now, but I don't trust it driving back and forth to college, and on highways. But it's my baby, and I don't want to sell it. So I'm going to try not to. Yes that's me in a cape. I was on my way to a halloween party and I was dressed as Darth Maul. I thought it was kind of fun pulling up next to people dressed like that.
