I love that last picture. Great job I'm sure you had fun.

LOL no offense, but I smell delusion! :D

According to ebay, they're upwards of $20k new, & the insurance company I'm with wouldn't insure a teenager with one as they won't insure anyone under 25 with anything 2 doors & more than 2000cc, giving it a score of zero for both affordability & insurability IMO.

My first car (2 yrs ago when I was 15) was an '89 Civic, my current & 3rd car is a '99 Toyota Corolla (I'll try to get some pics).

That's funny, because when I was shopping for cars I got a pricing from Ford for the very same Mustang posted, only in black, that was less than $19,000. It's the V6 model with the Pony package, it's not the GT which starts around $25,000-$26,000. Plus I doubt eBay takes into consideration the kind of deals Ford is willing to throw out from their dealerships these days because of how awful they're doing. I could have walked away with a $22,485 car for under $19,000 out the door. And I probably could have gotten it even cheaper had I been interested enough, but the car just didn't do it for me.

Is car insurance just ridiculously cheap in the USA then?

It's weird to hear of these relatively young people picking up cars with V6 engines and not mentioning the insurance. For me to get insurance just as the additional driver on my brother's 2.5L MG ZS would be around £2000 ($4000) extra on his premium per year.

I currently pay about £700 for the insurance on my Smart Roadster and it's a 0.7L. Yeah, the car's form factor makes it much more expensive than others with similar engines but it's still very expensive.

Insurance here depends on about a billion or two factors. How old you are, male/female, single/married, where you live, your driving record, and of course the car itself. For me, my insurance is $2,000/yr on a 2008 VW GTI. I'm 22, male and single with an accident about 5 years back on record (basically the most expensive demographic when it comes to insurance, yay me).

Yeah, they dont even want to look at my car anymore, I tried to trade it in for a Trailblazer SS, and they wanted to give me like 1,000 for trade in, so I just left it alone.

But the difference between the two is seriously night and day, GM really stepped up everything a notch, the ride is noticeably quieter, smoother and a lot more powerful in the denli. As well as extremely comfortable. To bad it sucks gas (12/19) but not as bad at the yukon (10ish/15).

Yeah we got our '05 the last time GM did the employee discounts; Stickered for $51k, employee price dropped it down to $42k and put $8k down. Not a bad deal, and it's been the best truck we've had to date. Had an '99 Suburban SLT that had many little niggling issues, and needed a new tranny at 75k. Then had an '01 XL SLT that needed a new tranny at 36k (right outside warranty of course). The '05 has been the best by far, no problems at all besides a burned out high mount tail light (only has 47k miles). The most anybody will give her for the trade is $15k, and the truck is in excellent condition. She really wants an Escalade ESV (to match my Seville of course :D) but paying $60k for one after GMS is ridiculous. However, they are excellent trucks. Here's a pic of ours when we first bought it:
