How is the handling on this? My mum had one of the lesser models (Active Sport) and it handled like a boat. Turning in was a guessing game and the bulbous body and inflated interior made it extremely difficult to tell what was going to happen next.

As far as i'm concerned it's pretty good, it has lower and stiffer suspension than the active sport*, and also wider tyres, it defiantly has much less body roll than the current 09 Fiesta courtesy car i'm driving atm.

*only downside to that is you have to take any speed bumps at less than 10mph, but i'm finding the Fiesta nearly as bad on speed bumps so maybe it's not so bad, just in my old 306, the suspension was so soft it just floated over speed bumps.

haha its funny how those cars are extremely special in europe..when here some might consider then not so great lol. Im sure your brother gets lots of stares. :)

haha, it's true, here in the UK, Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers, Camaros and RAMs etc are seen as quite a rare occurrence

haha here mustang v6's are too common and looked down upon. v8's are common too although they are nice in a way. Shelbys are more rare, although i cant say they are near non-existant. Corvettes, the standard ones, are not common but nothing special IMO. The special ones are Z06's and ZR1's. American cars for the most part are considered junk here. I can't imagine how much insurance/gas would cost for american v8 "sports cars" such as mustangs/vettes.

The Corvette gets 16/26 fuel economy. Which is quite respectable for a 430 HP car. I have heard people getting 30 MPG out of it on the highway.

Now insurance I bet is a bit costly.....

If I had a boatload of cash, I could turn my stock car into one of these customized babies shown below. Volvos of this genre (early 1970s-mid 1980s) of old cars like mine are not known to be fast, so it makes it that much more of a challenge to take this family car into one that is race track worthy.

Taking an Accord, Civic, Acura Integra, Datsun 510, or BMW 2002 is so played out so it's fun when one takes a car not known for being upgraded like a square bodied Volvo (perhaps the most inelegant car ever made).

It's all about gearing. 6th gear in the newer corvettes is so tall, it's only good for cruising. you have to downshift to gain any more speed once you're in 6th.

I also forgot to post my most recently sold vehicle:

it was, a 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan. I miss the thing every day I'm stuck driving the sluggish CR-V.
