Elises/Exiges are great little cars. Fun to drive once/if you can get in them. ;) Though the Toyota sourced engine needs a bit work on its engine note. It sounds wimpy.

I nearly hurt myself in an Elise, it was just too small, lol. I was able to squeeze into an Exige though. Not made for bulky 6'3" peoples.

I drive a Hummer H3 and LOVE it ... I'd never drive a small car, especially something 1200 lbs! Haven't you seen the idiots on the roads these days?

I have the Hummer primarily because I need to cargo space for work and I travel a lot during the Winter so the 4wd is a necessity, for what it is it's decent on gas, more importantly I feel much safer driving that compared to blasting down the freeway in a little car ... ever seen one smashed to pieces from an accident? People don't survive .... great to be positive but good to be safe too...imo...
SUVs feel like driving a bar of soap through jello on ice for me. IMO, I'd prefer to have something light and nimble that can avoid an accident as opposed to trying to plow my way through an accident.

But then again, the things that I do with my sports car are really not doable with 99% of the SUVs out in the market. So I know how to enjoy a sports car like people as yourself know how to make good use of an SUV for cargo.

Different strokes for....ahh....you know. ;) :)

I finally decided on a new car. It's a 2006 Smart Roadster Brabus Xclusive. It has a 0.7L turbo petrol engine outputting 101bhp and can achieve over 50mpg combined.

It also has heated leather seats, electric folding roof, paddle shift on steering wheel, push button start and 17" alloy wheels.

Here are the pictures the dealer had on their website:

I hate driving vehicles that handle like rafts. I never feel safe in them. I would much rather have a nimble and well-handling car to maneuver quickly. I'll still take my 2600 lb. MINI over all those tanks weighing twice as much any day of the week. If I needed something with cargo space I would probably get a wagon (estate). :)

I could never live with a FWD V8. The torque steer is just Nasty! I hate feeling it just when ever I drive a fwd 4 bangers. The last time I drove a FWD V8 (which has been in a long time) I was jut LOLz about it. Actually, I could never live with a FWD anything. :)

Nothing confirmed, but the XTS is most likely going to be AWD only using the Haldex system that was first employed in the Saab 9-3.

From what I been told is that the investment that would be needed to be put in to make a proper Zeta based Cadillac would be so great that while the vehicle will be profitable, they would not see a return of investment most likely with the market shrinking and the 7 series and S-Class taking what is remaining of the market( which is the same reason why GM left the medium duty truck market and killed the Kodiak and TopKick).

Torque steer is surprisingly not a problem with my STS. Cadillac did a great job of managing it using Stabilitrak 2.0 (stability control system) and traction control to minimize it on my car. The only time you feel it is giving it gas when exiting a corner, and even then it's barely noticeable. The FWD on this car isn't too bad unless you're trying to do work on the motor. Then it becomes a nightmare.

Beautiful Prelude! My best friend has a '94 VTEC and adores it. Great driving little car thats for sure!

Thank you! Your friend has a wonderful Prelude. I adore mine as well. It truly is my baby. I take great care of it. All is left to do is to repaint the car as the hood and roof is fading. March is when the car goes into the paint shop!

Here are some interior shots...

One more...

Man... I seriously love my Prelude. :D:D:D

2007 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD in Whistler Silver Metallic

Taken Saturday in the huge snow storm we had here in Maryland

I had a 2008 Honda Civic Si Sedan in Fiji Blue Pearl until I lost my job, then sold it to make sure my family could stay afloat until I found a new one. Now I miss it a lot.

My buddy is getting ready to paint his very soon. Milano Red Prelude's fade quicker than any of the other colors Honda offered on these cars, and it doesn't help the paint wasn't the best quality either. His car has 192k miles on it now and other than some minor issues (bad CV joint, sputtering at idle, rust on rear quarter panel, etc) it's a really great little car. I learned how to drive a stick shift on it and it's pretty awesome; a little notchy for my tastes, my a great experience. He had a '94 Si before this one and he just loves them. He is on the lookout for an Electron Blue 5th Gen in the future, but for now his 4th gen is doing him well. Your car is stunning though! Is that aftermarket leather seats? I've seen very few 5th Gen's with leather!

And a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ATDemPxYik

I'm surprised at how many bimmerpost.com people are here. :D

That's looking TIGHT & Good son!
What kind of wheels & tires you got on that?!
That I think is the LAST good looking BMW of this generation; previous M3 was a favorite along with the slightly rounded boxy version that came in a mustard yellow.

How much did all the mod's set you back and can the back seats fit a 6" adult comfortably without knocking forehead on the roof???!!

Everytime I see an elise/exige, I have regrets for not getting one. But in reality they are slightly impractical for me as an everyday car. They are like a dream though. My type of cars are small/light + high revving. I love the 2ZZ-GE motor. It's actually a pretty lightweight engine. Co-developed by Yamaha. I used to have a celica gt-s with the same motor. They should have put that motor in the MR2-S.

I didn't think the engine was co developed by Yamaha, Toyota had that for years so I've always thought it was Toyota. MR-2 Turbo (the last one they made was no chump engine either. The Celica GT from 2004 was also a sick 2.2L engine so I think any of those can go into the Mr-2 aka Mr. T).

Thank you thank you! I worked very hard to get it to the point where it is.
For a 13 year old car and the paint has started to fade about a year ago and is still not that bad I'd say the quality is alright but then again is it fading and I can't wait to get it painted as those white spots on the roof of my car are pissing me off every time I step up to it.
Other then a few JDM, a couple aftermarket and one custom parts, everything is OEM. The leather seats were only for Canadian Preludes, heated as well. But I'm not sure if the leather interior is a genuine Honda part that came with the 5th gen Preludes. I heard a rumor that it was an upgradable option when purchasing the car brand new from a dealership and they would bring the car to some shop who would make the seats for the Prelude before the new owner drives away. But like I said, I'm not sure. So as far as I know, yes they are OEM leather seats from Honda. Mine came with cloth and I was looking everywhere for the leather seats until one day I got lucky with someone parting out another Prelude :)
