Now I have no idea where to go from here. I thought about a 135i. Maybe wait to see what the next STi looks like.

My new to me '96 Audi A4 2.8L V6 5spd Manual. I honestly can't stand the looks of new cars. So bland IMO, and much too heavy, though the A4 is damn heavy:( The 90s had some of the coolest cars around, especially in the supercar category. Hopefully I can replace this in 1-2 years with a 96 LT4 Vette in Torch Red, or maybe a Lotus, or a Triumph TR6 pre '74. Something light at least. For now its a good cheap daily driver. I hate to spend money on stuff that doesn't make me money.

yeah, just not as oftern as I would have liked
although I do inted to track it more this year :)

Good. Nice pic btw. A man with a proper sports car should track or auto X it IMO.

I'll be taking my little A4 to some Auto X events in the coming months for some giggles even though its not a sports car by any means.

BTW, why is the top off at your event? Wouldn't that be a safety concern?

do it, its a fantastic buzz
just make sure you choose a trackday that is not full of chavs

luckily we have lotus-on-track

the roof off is fine, as long as you have an approved helmet and long sleeves

Elises/Exiges are great little cars. Fun to drive once/if you can get in them. ;) Though the Toyota sourced engine needs a bit work on its engine note. It sounds wimpy.

I've never been a fan of the toyota engined cars, too heavy, have servo brakes and ABS :( and all that twin cam nonsense

naa, I'll stick with my good old rover k series
200bhp of normally aspirated fun in a car that weighs less than a shoe

my wee beastie

Everytime I see an elise/exige, I have regrets for not getting one. But in reality they are slightly impractical for me as an everyday car. They are like a dream though. My type of cars are small/light + high revving. I love the 2ZZ-GE motor. It's actually a pretty lightweight engine. Co-developed by Yamaha. I used to have a celica gt-s with the same motor. They should have put that motor in the MR2-S.

Yea. I was supposed to go to the one after at Marina, but I was too exhausted from the car control clinic the day before. :(

Cool. They have a few more events scheduled at Great America this year. The schedule has been posted over at justracing if you have not yet seen it. I am way out in Livermore, so it will be nice not to have that long drive home from Marina every month. I will probably drive my car once or twice this year instead of my camera.

Jacked into the net...
haha -- Intended on buying just the 'normal' two, but got a good deal on 'em so got the four for not much more than it would cost to get just two elsewhere.

I think the link and coupon code still works if you're interested: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1840648

No deer really where I live but in the event I go passing through an area with deer I'm prepared to blast 'em :p. Just poor drivers that don't like to use their blinkers or pay attention when they're merging. And the stock horns were pretty weak.

lol...well, it most certainly is excessive. I'm running a relay to manage just two horns. I'm curious how you managed to wire four.

Oh, that lgt was gorgeous - nicely modded. Get another one :)

Excessive, maybe but whatever. I like 'em. You want to see excessive browse the nasioc forums where some of these guys have 4+ in the front and more in the rear.

I've actually considered taking out the lower too and putting them on the other car. The difference between 2 and 4 is marginal.

Wiring is basically the same as you would with 2 horns and a single relay just times 2. The only difference is the lead wire is tee'd off about 6 inches before the end of the wire to go to the first set of horns.

Cadillac is shooting themselves in the foot with this XTS IMO, only because it won't offer a V8. The FWD isn't the problem... DTS/Deville owners have been fine for years with FWD because it offered a V8 engine...
I could never live with a FWD V8. The torque steer is just Nasty! I hate feeling it just when ever I drive a fwd 4 bangers. The last time I drove a FWD V8 (which has been in a long time) I was jut LOLz about it. Actually, I could never live with a FWD anything. :)
