I just gave the mph as an example. It has been proven that there have been more deaths linked to rotary engines (Mazda RX7, RX8) then piston engines. Quit trolling. Take a quarter mile stretch at a raceway, take a RX7 and a piston engine car of the same caliber and put them to a test - Do the quarter mile and slam on the brakes and see which one stops first. The piston engine will stop first, because the engine is not spinning and has gravity working for/against it, rather then the rotary which spins, and has nothing to slow it down, other then downshifting. Dont get me wrong, rotaries are nice, I wouldnt mind having an old RX7, but they are dangerous.

 you don't know what you're talking about. my old FC would stop better than most things on the road. same with an FD, they have great brakes and are super light. being a rotary has nothing to do with stopping. if anything it helps because the block weighs 170 pounds.

OMG, please don't get him started on those insanely ludicrous claims again. No wait, please do. It's time for some more amusement. :D

My 2000 Cadillac Seville STS. It's got 84k miles on it now and she's doing pretty good for her age. Just turned 10 years old today.

While I know you love your STS, but it is my personal opinion that I am sure glad Cadillac doesn't produce those kind of vehicles anymore.

Oh wait......

I don't like FWD. It's not appropriate for a luxury sedan, though the FWD architecture of my Seville is really helped with CVRSS and later in the series the MagneRide. No comparison to a RWD car, but still not bad. I like the new SRX, but the 3.0 is severely underpowered IMO. Still haven't had the chance to drive a Turbo, but I'm sure it's an improvement. Until the XTS comes out, I will reserve judgement for it at that time. I like the design though.

SRX is FWD. Why did they ruin the great driving dynamics the Sigma I based SRX had? Ugh!

The XTS is Super Epsilon II. It is AWD only, but I bet it won't come in the two mode hybrid the concept is standard which will limit it to 304 HP 3.6 DI V6 since Epsilon II can not fit a V8 and who wants a V8 for a FWD based barge? GM really dropped the ball by approving this monstrosity and dropping the Zeta based DT7.

I'm lovin everybody's cars....especially the BMWs and Subies (Dad has 02 WRX wagon). Here mine:
1998 328is w/89,000 miles (bought it a few years ago from the original owner, my grandpa, with 51,000)
Pretty stock except for staggered OEM e46 wheels and 6k HIDs w/digital ballasts and euro projection glass housings. I plan to do chip/intake/exhaust soon. Even though it's definitely not the quickest car on the road, I have loved it since the day I bought it.

I drive a 1993 Mercury Villager in the winter months and for hauling friends, but I doubt anyone is interested in seeing that :D.

Finally found the pictures I took a few years back. Still looks pretty much like this except I have a couple small self-induced garage dents on the trunk lid that I have yet to fix yet.

2001, BMW 330i sport package, 5-sp manual.

Cadillac is shooting themselves in the foot with this XTS IMO, only because it won't offer a V8. The FWD isn't the problem... DTS/Deville owners have been fine for years with FWD because it offered a V8 engine. The 3.6 DI V6 is a fine motor, but I know older buyers won't appreciate having to downgrade to a V6 motor even though it makes more horsepower than the Northstar. GM is idiotic IMO for not completing development of the Ultra V8, and now with the Northstar dying this year the only V8-based Caddy will be the Escalade.

GM let the STS linger on too long with too few updates and even then, sales were not to where Seville sales were 10 years ago. People rejected the STS because of the watered down CTS look, whereas the Seville was sleek and elegant. FWD to most didn't matter, even though I feel it's a requirement these days. When the 2nd gen CTS came along, what was the point of the STS? It's more attractive, has a much nicer interior, better handling, better price, and has similar interior space. The only advantage IMO of the STS was the seating position and having a V8. Nothing else stands out. The DTS is ancient, riding on the same Aurora based K-body platform from '95. The Deville/DTS has changed little in 10 years, with the exception of the redesign in '06 IMO that made it seem more like a Buick than an actual Cadillac. The SRX is a great looking vehicle and has a class leading interior, but uses an underpowered base motor and like all other GM vehicles, is too damn heavy.

Of all GM brands, Cadillac has the least focus. Amazingly, Buick is on track to become the star of all GM brands. That's really amazing to me because if you would have asked me 5 years ago, I would have put Buick near the bottom and Cadillac near the top.

FWD has no business at Cadillac anymore. Not with Buick surviving. Buick can have the FWD SRX and Super Epsilon II XTS. SRX needed to be on Sigma II and the XTS/DT7 needed to be on Zeta.

Ultra was plagued with quality problems and that is why it was canned. The Small Block V8 is more then adequate of a motor especially when the Generation V Small Block V8 arrives( I have heard some interesting things about it.....). Though we'll have the ignorant people go and crap on it because it is OHV claiming it is ancient and an old POS despite it being only 10 years older then DOHC.
