these vehicles are not suitable for transporting a family... your 7 month old daughter deserves more

Since we are talking about my daughter, I'll post again.

We have 4 cars between my wife and I. You already saw my two cars. The other two are a Mercedes E 350 Sedan and an Acura TSX Sedan. She is transported PROPERLY and safely whenever needed in a proper car seat. Thanks for your concern.

While I'm posting again...

Dear lord talk about panties in a bunch.

Oh by the way, I owned two BMWs myself, so yeah, consider the source.

There are BMW's and then there are BMW's.

This is a 318 ti (awesome car by the way)

And so is this one, a Z8 (loved it!):

Hence, owning a BMW can mean anything :)

Right, which is why you had to dig through my thread to snap back for simply stating that your appearance mods were over the top IMO.

If you really weren't upset, you wouldn't have responded at all.

When I was perturbed, it was my earlier post where I dug your comment out.

The post where I mentioned "I don't think anyone's opinion is upsetting anyone at this point", was a latter post after I gave it some thought. But look at me, I'm STILL responding. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies ;)

I'm not sure how showing me what's very possibly the crappiest BMW ever built alongside one of the most expensive (yet ugliest) niche BMWs ever built and saying they are both awesome cars supports your statement that "There are BMWs and then there are BMWs." By that, they must all be great cars so I suppose you should still consider the source indeed.;)

Unlike others, I actually LOVE what you did with the 3er. Mods are tasteful imo, and it looks great!

For some reason though, the CSL style trunk doesn't work for me on the M6. Just not aesthetically pleasing imo (but as you said, different strokes for different folks).

completely agree, the trunk is the worst... a little junk in the trunk is not always good ;-)

Wow. Some of you guys are so cheeky.

If you someone dislikes a car on this thread, they don't start judging and bashing the post owner. Go through the thread, you'll see that for yourself. But it doesn't stop there; now some of you start writing stupid things such as "Your daughter deserves more". Way too far, imo. Seriously, these posts are so childish. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

It's his car, he has the money for it, and he can what he wants.

The truth: Some of you guys have serious jealousy issues, whether you want to hear it or not.

For LA roads, even I feel they are a bit low. But for Orange County roads, they are perfect.

In fact, I busted my Vorsteiner carbon fiber front lip on the M6 in LA...**** happens.

I like seeing slammed cars going really slow over the smallest bumps as I cruise by in my stock sports suspension car. And while my cf front lip has also been scratched up on the bottom on some nasty driveways, it still makes me laugh when others are practically dragging their car over the most pedestrian of bumps. I saw one slammed older model bummer completely tear off his bumper at a mc Donald's drive through. It was hilarious. My point is that going do low that it's impractical for just the sake of looks makes my shake my head. I used to do that stuff in high school.

Thanks!

And it's not stock. It is an OEM part though. It is the M3 trunk lid spoiler. It is usually the same color as the car, but I got it gloss black to match the mirror caps and grille. The roof is also gloss black vinyl and the orange reflectors have gloss black vinyl covering them. Tinted windows and gloss black badges as well.

I love the S4 (usually there is a lot of hatred between Audi and BMW people, but I love the competition and respect both cars!). Do you have a picture of your S4 here? The new 2013s are beautiful imo (and crazy powerful).

I'm thinking of a front lip as well... that and a Dinan Stage 2 tune :D

No wonder, I always likes the M3 lips. The Audi community pretty much copied the M3 trunk spoiler for the early A4s.

Ironically I am not a far of modified badges, I actually like the rebadged look most of the time, EXCEPT on Bimmers. I like the cf black emblems and blacked out letters etc. it just works for some reason.

My S4 is somewhere in this thread. I've been meaning to take new pics but I just bought another house and thats been taking up most if my time. It's not the new b8 models you see on the road but the previous B7. However its limited to 250 in the us with the sports bumpers, exhaust, cf front and rear lips, cf interior, two tone recaro seats.

I never really bought in to the brand wars. BMW vs Audi... Who cares? BMW is something I'm strongly considering as my next car. M3 or 7 series. Although the new Audi RS5 looks pretty nice at 420hp.

It makes me cringe when I see something like that happen.

I, however, am in a slightly different boat. I want to lower my car, but I don't want to slam it. I don't have that kind of room with the wheels I have on it, so I can only go down maybe half an inch from stock. I have a hard time justifying spending $1300-1700 plus installation for a drop that small.

+1

I have a 2011 STI. People keep telling me I "need" to lower it. My response is, Why spend all that money? I'm not planning to track it, yet. If and when I do I'll run bone stock until I determine what I really "need." That definitely means tires and wheels first, before any suspension mods.

I don't see the point of spending all that money on mods for a street car (coil overs, etc), that will give me little to no gain for driving on public roads, but make the ride more uncomfortable, especially on longer road trips that I do several times a year.
