The '13+ CC R-line is such a beautiful car, I was willing to buy one and sign papers on it that same night (silver) but the dealer and I were $1800 apart and they wouldn't budge. They then sat on the car for an entire year before moving it. For me it's good it didn't work out because ultimately all the little things I didn't like about it resulted in me going back to my roots and picking up a new Brembo 5.0.

I love the R-line, but disliked that the R-line part wasn't just a package that could be added to other trims, or alternatively that you can't get a la carte options on the R-line. Basically I hated that I was paying $35k for a car in which I couldn't even get a decent factory stereo. Basically you have to pick between whether you want an R-line look, or more options. I also hated the Jetta steering wheel and beige headliner (unless you got Fortana Red for some odd reason). FWD was a drag too. The rear tire cupping issues that VW refuses to ignore and abysmal resale value really made me throw in the towel.

Still a gorgeous car though, I definitely rubberneck whenever I see one because it looks like $100k, especially at night with the lights, front and rear.

I sold them for 3 years. I stole it. 26,500. Goes back in a year though.

It was a really nice day in Savannah...65F. My sympathies to those suffering in the snowbelt. Washed and waxed Bruno(wife's B6 Passat Komfort Wagon) and Vin (my CW JSW). Actually this was the first time I waxed Bruno since purchase in Sep 14. I used P21S carnuba wax and some Mother's Tire and Wheel cleaner. Both worked great! I had used the P21S on Vin about 3 weeks ago and it goes on easy although taking it off on a white car is interesting. Anyway, it beads up great. I know everyone has his/her own favorite "stuff" but it you're looking to try something different I'd recommend both the Mother's and the P21S. Cheers

Share your thoughts please! Might get one myself. Thanks.

Well I have had it for about 1 year and 2 months now. 20,000 miles later it is still up and running, no mechanical issues what so ever. Only problem I have had with it, was they replaced my bottom screen on car because it was forming bubbles between the LCD and "glass". But that was due to me living in a high heat area.

Other than that car is running great, love the technology for the money. My car is only a "s" model with navigation package, nothing more. We basically have everything from bluetooth to back up cameras as already included, heck the base models have it I believe.

I would recommend you get a sport model, if you are looking for a more sportier feeling sedan. And also due to the options already included. In the end to me it is one of the best "luxury" sedans you can buy for the money and what it gets you.

Now that the 2015 model came out, I believe it is a better year to buy as they have worked out some of the "glitches" the 14 models had. But as always the best way would be to test drive the car. If You are willing to sacrifice trunk space and money is not an issue, I would go with a hybrid (they have more hp and torque) than the non-hybrid.

Looks good, can't wait for the weather to clear up so I can wash/detail the wife's TDI and our new 4Runner.

Have you tried Sonax Polymer Net Shield? Easy to apply and remove, and lasts me about 5 months on beading abilities.

Nice. Thanks for the tip, Sonax looks pretty neat. Might have to try it. Cheers
While you're at it, use Sonax Wheel Cleaner instead. Really gentle on the wheels and removes/clean the tires/wheels much better.

You can tell I'm a Sonax fan :D

My New Golf MK7

I recently got a new 2015 Golf MK7 1.6 TDI Bluemotion. Its the first brand new car i've ever owned and since, being relatively young insurance isn't too bad either.

I love the gadgets on it, but not having a normal parking break has taken some getting use to as its an automatic system. Either way everything is so well made it puts my old Nissan Navara to shame.

Since everyone else is getting Minnesota's snow. I had a chance to wash my A6 Avant by hand! I miss my summer wheels though! :( .

I own an A6 Avant as well.... It's in the shop right now having some work done on the alignment, and the only picture I can find of it is when I first bought the car. (I also just realized that I really need to organize my photo library better! :p) I live in western PA, so good snow driving is a must! I have to say, though, that the Avant plus good tires makes for a car that performs great in the snow.

:) Constantly playing with new mods on it

Along with my 2004 Audi TT Quattro 3.2 S-Line. 105,000 on it and still running great.

Completely agree.

To me VW makes the best car for the money. I had a 2013 CC baseline that I just turned in from my lease to buy a GLI 2015 in the last week. First thing I did with the GLI? I took it to get a Car Play compatible head unit installed. Head units in general are so horrible.

Since getting my CC back in October of 2012 (yes it's a 2013) I have gotten most of my family to VW's. They are fun cars to drive at a fairly reasonable price. My wife didn't want a VW till she test drove most of the models of Lexus, everything Honda, and Ford makes. She realized she was spoiled by what I had in my car and bought a Passat 2014 SE 1.8T. The only complaint from her now is that she hates the voice recognition and wishes she has Siri built in like I had done.

Planning on posting my new car photos, and my wife's car as soon as we get past this 5 day's of rain that we have going.

One note... if anyone is interested the Alpine ILX-007 is a great head unit if you just want the car to pull music over Car Play. Spent today driving around using Apple Maps, Music, iTunes Radio, Podcast, and iHeartradio. I don't miss Sirius at all. 2 years of Sirius is the cost of this head unit and you'll be happier with it.

Funny you mention the head unit - I had a '13 Jetta SEL w/Nav that had the crappy RNS-315 in it, that thing was infuriating. I had my iPod classic hooked up permanently in the glove box, and I like to listen to my music on shuffle. But the stupid RNS-315 would also shuffle songs when going backwards through tracks, so if I was skipping through songs that I didn't want to hear then decided I had skipped over one I did want to hear and hit the back button, nope - it shuffled the tracks in both directions. Stupid that it wouldn't maintain the order when going in reverse. The shuffle algorithm was the worst of any head unit I've ever had, too.

That was another thing, the R-line was stuck with that piece of junk, and I didn't want to deal with it. Hate to say it but the Microsoft SYNC in my Mustang has been flawless, shuffles tracks the way the iPod does (i.e. it maintains the track order if you want to go backwards through the tracks and listed to songs again) and the voice recognition is great to have, which my Jetta never had. The SYNC also either allows the shuffle algorithm to come from the iPod itself, or has one very similar.

I hear you absolutely. I got the original Ford Focus SEL the year SYNC came out. It was outstanding at the time. The issue I had with it though was that Sync the original sync wouldn't go past file level indexing. For example I couldn't get it to work well with iTunes Match at all. It seemed to do a baseline index of files it could see, then make its own index.

Like many things it's absolutely a personal issue. My wife has heard me wining about reprogramming the harness in the GLI to match my needs for steering wheel buttons for the past two days. I'm an edge case for some of those things.

Personally, Ford makes the only American designed car worth buying. The little things on design and interior of GMs, and Chrysler kinda nip at me a bit.

If your ever in Dallas we should go driving. Would be nice to have friends into this kinda stuff in the area :)

Traded in my 2013 Audi A4 on lease and bought a long term, low maintenance vehicle. I'm floored on how much tech you got in my $28.5k car vs. the $45k Audi. Don't even get me started on how that compares to my old '06 BMW 325i. The seats are plush, the ride is just as good as my Audi.

See you guys in 13 years.

Fresh wash and tint. 1 Week old.

I really like my Fusion SE as well. Great cars and good price too.

Hell yes. Not only does it have the seat warmers, but in a hot Southern California day with leather seats... the seat coolers are a god send.

Here's my Fusion!

Great to see fellow Fusion owners on here. Great looking rides! I have a 14 Titanium myself.

The color? Looks black in most lighting, but it's called Dark Side. In the sun, you can see that it's a very deep green/blue.
