Anyone have a 1996-1998 BMW 525i? I might be buying one with about 71k miles on it.

Nice didn't know, I prefer the name X-Trail.

This is my girl...finally traded-in my 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5SE. I wanted a Lexus but wasn't sure about a Sedan, wasn't impressed with my sister's Acura TSX (not comparing them). Besides, I remember wanting the first Murano when it debut back in 2003.

How do you like your GC? My when I turned 16 I got a 2 year old WJ Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7HO Quadra-Drive. She served me well until a couple years ago when she just got too old and unreliable and I got my fathers BMW.

Now that I'm a big boy, graduated, and my low paying board certification residency will be over soon, I'm looking to buy a GC Diesel or Touareg TDI in 6 months to a year. My sister is in a similar boat although a bit older and an oral surgery resident. I'm trying to push her towards a GC.

I know your car is a 2014 or 2015, but how's your reliability been?

Golf GT R-Line, TSI 140 2015

Hello,

I've just purchased a brand new Golf GT R-Line (interior and exterior) 2015 model. Pure White. With PDC, pluspackages etc. It's a piece of art, i'm loving every minute in it. The R-Line makes a HUGE difference. Worth every penny.

I think the WK2 GC is a fantastic car. The build quality is very good and rides very smoothly (the chassis is a derivative of the Mercedes M-class). I think I am most impressed with the interior. The new 7in screen in the middle of the dash is clear and has plenty of information. It's a 2015 with <5K miles on it, but I have had zero issues with it so far. It's got the 5.7L V8 in it; I love the engine. I've heard that the diesel GC is also great

That's beautiful man congrats.

My wife had a 2004 TSX when I met her. I drove it around a bit and thought tied consider a modern one for a car back in late 2012. I figured there would be many new things that would make it compelling. The 2013 models they had on the lot drive virtually identical compared to my wife's 2004 model. Yes the grill was new but beyond that it was the same car right down to the dials and head unit. Acceleration was the same. Size was about the same. I'm sure you could look at the price sheet and call out differences but between a 2004 and 2013 model the differences outside of the grill were so small I left.

Nissan makes a fantastic car. Hope you enjoy it.

Nice. May I ask what options came with your mustang? The 2015 mustangs are calling my name. Especially since while on PCS leave my buddy back home just put a whipple supercharger on his 2014 mustang and took me for a ride to see what 600hp is like.

Sorry it took me so late to reply, I got the premium which leather seats, and the sync 2 which works fine for me. I kind of wish I got the performance pack which has suspension, rims, and the 3.73 gears. I had sold my truck and didn't feel like waiting months. So mine came with 18's and I'll upgrade them soon and 3.31 gears but being in Germany those aren't too bad. It gets good MPG when I'm not going over 110MPH on the autobahn. I wish I could give you a better idea of gas mileage but I can't seem to go slow over here. Compared to my 2008 this thing is amazing inside and the engine is definitely no slouch. Feel free to PM me with any questions I'll try and answer them for you.

That's funny, in 2008 I just returned from Iraq and the same thing happened with the AAFES car dealer over here in Germany. Kept asking me how I was going to pay, cash of course. He was like really what kind of payment. Cash I said. Only way to pay over in Germany at the time straight out was a check. He thought it would bounce, I showed him my USAA account, and wrote the check for $30,026 on the spot. Just picked this up a month ago at the same place in Germany. View attachment 538717

Beautiful. I was interested in the Murano myself, but it wasn't released by the time I had to return my lease. Also having a 2nd kid on the way it made more sense for me to get a 3rd row SUV, hence getting the Pathfinder. Love the enhanced technology of the Murano though. Even the SL rims look amazing.

That's such a beautiful picture! Such a mean looking car.

Here's my 2013 BMW 128i. I actually took a picture of this randomly when I was leaving work. It just looked so nice sitting there. :) I think I'm going to be stuck buying BMW's my whole life now haha.

Yeah a BMW will do that to ya, haha. I've been considering a 2-series as my next car, if I can get a good deal on a 235xi. I miss AWD.

Lovely car, bet you're having fun with it (so do I with my 2012 model)

Sure am, it was my only car for 5 years until I bought my 2009 Subaru Legacy 5-Speed a few month back for the colorado winter. I still drive the miata to work at least 50% of the time though, way more fun to drive!
