Have had my BMW M140i for 3 weeks now. Photo's taken after a 'new car detail' with Modesta glass coating.
3.0L 6 cylinder with 340 horsepower

Great car. I currently have a Golf R, but my previous car was a M135i. Only thing I'll say is be careful in the wet - I had a couple of low speed heart stopping moments. Enjoy

Had my fun, final photo before it goes it for a bit of minor paintwork, the motor rebuilt and the standard suspension/wheels refitted over the winter, as well as the factory stereo and a few other bits to get it back to factory.

It is. I really like it. It's pretty great to drive and I think it looks awesome. Very modern. There are some ongoing issues with the infotainment software, and since everything is controlled via touchscreen, it can be frustrating. It's a new system though, so I'm sure a software update will improve it. I'll report back in a couple months.

Here's some oddball Americana for you guys.

This is my 1987 Shelby Lancer that I've recently installed a Maserati 2.2L turbo into (DOHC 16v now.....very Euro).

I drive it to work everyday. It has a tiny turbo but it revs to the moon now compared to before. Plus it's just weird/rare now.

I've been doing everything I can on the Mustang myself. Stuff adds up quick when you're paying someone else to do it.

I've built a few engines myself from a bare block. It's fun. It's not that different than what I do every day (tile and drywall). There is a process and education involved. I shudder to think of anybody else working on my cars!

You gotta wonder why people spend so much money on stuff like cars or anything material when this gets the job done. I regularly load the hatch with a tile saw, Durock sheets, and a multitude of other tools and got the job done. It's the ultimate road tripper too.

I keep thinking about doing more with mine myself but I'm really not that handy. I have in the past when money was a major issue and I didn't have much choice, but it's less of a concern now. However both my vehicles are over 10 years old and are starting to have more issues. One wouldn't start this morning and I'm hoping it's just the battery.
