Didn't American Engine design stall in the late 50's or early 60's?

Honda really are amazing at getting every last bit of power from their engines, yet they still have a fair amount of low torque.

And then there's the lovely Wankle engine in the RX-8. 1.3lt and 228bhp (or 218bhp, I can't remember).

articulation

I couldn't resist.

Me off-road trying to test my articulation...

sorry ErikCLDR, but I too couldn't resist.

My FJ-40 from before the restoration, circa 2001

that's the second climb up the "ramp". I broke off the corner of the concrete pad the first time and got thrown out of the cab.

Love your crusier! I wouldn't mind owning one. Looks awesome.

Very nice, I've always had a thing for FJ-40's.

You're cheating though with your aftermarket stuff :p.

The Wankel engine is an achievement. However, it requires forced induction to get that bhp figure and needs fairly regular maintenance.

I'm pretty sure that the RX-8's 1.3 is normally aspirated. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

The RX-7 was a twin-turbo, I believe.

I'm by no means a mechanic. I'm just good with the stats. :p

Been reading car magazines since I was about 9 years old.

A 3.8 V6 producing 210hp is lame.

To really emphasize my point I will recognize the 2.0L 4cyl Honda S2000 has 240 hp without a turbocharger or a supercharger.

Yeah... I know, it kinda stunned me as I was looking over the facts, too. See, I think they purposefully cripple it, to make the GT and GXP models seem even more powerful than they are....

When I heard 3.8L V6, I expected something in at least the 260HP range. Heck, my 11 year old Monte Carlo had a 3.4L V6 and 215HP.

Either way, it has a good amount of kick. Is it "fast?" Certainly not. I've been in my dad's 600 HP Camaro SS... That's fast. This is perfectly fine for me as a college student, though. I don't need to kill myself *this* soon. :p

Well it's kinda sad to think my car has a 4.0 V8 and weighs the about same as a Chevy Suburban/GMC Yukon XL yet the Suburban/Yukon XL has a 5.3, 5.7, or 6.0 liter engine depending on the year and model.

The Audi S4 has a V8 bigger than my car.

My car is geared very low so I guess that makes up for engine size when doing stuff like towing and driving off road. It also lets me drive 75mph at 3,000rpm and get horrendous gas mileage.

I like your style... :)

Jag S-Type V8 - Lowered 1 1/2"

Nice Jag's you guys. I've always been a fan of them. They're design is so timeless. The only jag I hate are the original S-types though with that... ford inspired interior.

I wonder who's going to buy Jaguar and Land Rover

My brand new Scion Blue Onyx Pearl xB, I freakin' love it!!

I had the exact same car as you.
It was such a pos, them my girlfriend totaled it.
Kind of a blessin gin disguise because we just picked up a 1992 RangeRover with 13,000 miles on it!

I love them all apart from the X Type. The XJ looks great.

The XJ's and XK's are beautiful, however my old neighbor had an early 90's XJ with square headlights which made it look stupid.

The X-type wagon is stupid, but I think the sedan is decent. I would never buy a new one, but used they are a pretty good deal, and have AWD standard. If only they put the AWD option into the S-Type and maybe the XJ's.

^^That's the bad S-type interior. It looks like a Ford Taurus interior crossed with an original Ford Expedition interior.

They finally improved it with this

Which is 10000000x better looking

Um how did you get a 1992 Range Rover (15 years old) with 13,000 miles on it? I've always loved the SWB Range Rover Classics, there is this unique timeless affluent charm to them. Are you sure the speedometer isn't broken, its probably likely being a Land Rover. Anyways, show me pics!!! Haha

Thank you - I love the styling too. In fact, I think I'll buy the whole company:D

But really, it will be interesting to see who actually does buy them.

My collection :)

Ahh I am envious.

I have a 1998 Disco LSE and my dad has an 03 Disco SE7. He's also owned a 1990 (I think) Range Rover Classic and a 1963ish Series IIa. He says Jaguars are his favorite sedans but says they are too flashy for him haha.

We might be looking into getting an LR3 or a used MKIII Range Rover in a little while.

I personally would love to see ford sell Volvo. Lets see, they stole the S80 frame and used it on the Ford 500/new taurus/Milon/MKZ, the edge/MKX, Flex, LR2, and probably others. They also took a lot of Volvo's safety features. Talk about sucking the S*** out of a company.
