@allmine: I take it that you are one of the first patch of people that was let into the store? I made it there at 8:35 this morning and was "lucky" to have gotten to the very back of the top line, and the people behind me had to start queueing up at the lower level. I was gona see if anyone was using the iphone app iFob but sadly I was too far away from Apple's wifi range at the start.

Oh and, I got ONE apple staff who came to hi5 me, all the others turned back before they reach the end of the line.

Zeasar,

Yes mate, we were very close to the beginning of the queue, around 20 or so back. I had the mbp out trying wireless networks, and could connect to a netgear network, but alas, no internet! I didn't try the :apple: networks though.

You have a good time then?

@ allmine:

I was trying to see if there's any wifi network opened, and since I was pretty close to apple store the 2nd time I tried, I got onto their network. And its the same reason why I didnt stay on cos they were moving the queue fast.

Which nano model did your mate replaced? I got the very first patch of the 1st gen nano and I know recently they are doing a "recall" on those nanos cos some batteries of the first patch 1st gen nano were exploding. I may have to add that to my apple-store-to-do-list later. :)

It was a great experience, I think it could have been better if the 2 guys infront of me werent some "I'm cool and who the feck are you" teens. Oh and, a ginger haired guy bumped the queue, stopped right infront of me... if I wasnt with my GF I would have told him were to go.

Haha...yes we got a wee bit of sleep but with a new 24 imac, a new mac book, a new time capsule and a new firewire hard drive to play with we have been a wee bit distracted...everything up and running as it should be now. Great to meet you guys there.

Jonathan and Anthony (AKA 6th and 7th guys!)

my gf went in the store yesterday to ask about the 1st gen nano battery replacement thingy. They told her there's a £40 charge for a replacement! I throught it should have been free since that patch of battery is defective.
