In way there is a quick way to turn ProRAW on and off by touching it on the screen. Just turn the ProRAW on in camera under the settings menu and save it on preserve settings.

Maybe you can clear something up for me.. the 2 choices high efficiency or most compatible,

Edit. In a nutshell, when do you pick high efficiency over most compatible? Just for the example types in the description? Is there a difference for our regular raw photos, which is selected? I just changed it and shot a raw and sure enough it was heif, so I’d have to convert and re-save to post it.. but is there an actual difference in the ability to edit the raw image?

High efficiency will save the normal photos as HEIF, most compatible will save as JPEG, this option don’t alter the RAW shots at all, if you shoot in RAW the file will say RAW
 
The clarity on the 48mp RAW pics is fantastic, this is a tiny crop of this RAW photo (posted earlier in thread, sorry for posting same pic), the clarity starts to drop cropping this much but look at how far in I’ve actually been able to crop.
