I've tried taking some photos on a dark beach of my wife using the flash. Every single one comes out awful. The flash is so strong that most of the image is just white. It's essentially useless. Am i doing something wrong?

6+. Slightly edited within the Photos app. Just raised the brightness and saturation a tiny bit.

Took this one using the 6 just before complete darkness to see how it did in low light. Impressed. It was a clear evening but was taken 48 minutes after sunset.

If you use HDR at night, it makes night shots and low light shots even better with less noise

I guess just let it focus and keep phone still as possible when flash is on and when your taking a picture, it helps also to hit tap to focus when taking lowlight/nightime shots on, espcially with flash

These were taken at Mt. Rainier National Park. The first 2 are a comparison between the 5s and 6+.
