My Spigen Liquid Air came in. Love it. Although I feel that my Speck did a better job with a slight overhang on the curved display of the S8 which made it feel more securely in. Especially on the long sides.

What I don't love is that this is the first phone I have owned where I really like the design of the back - I have the stormy black which with the camera visor is black, grey and lighter grey. It looks so nice in all it's shiny glass goodness. Now the back of my phone is just black. Grippy, which I want and need, but gone is some of the "glamour" of the phone. There are worse problems to have - but it does speak to how nice I think the back of this phone is "naked." In fact, no other phone I've owned or seen made me care whether or not it was covered up

Gotta comment as a long time user .

This section of the forum is one of my favorites, love the open banter, acceptance of opposing viewpoints, tendency to learn from others, and just joy of exploring tech and experiences.

My feelings are mostly with that of the pixel community. Anyway, I am done being off topic, I don't want to get reported or banned 😜.

Some extra wallpapers I made I thought I'd share. They're geared more towards the banana cake flavoured 6 Pro. But I did make a very colourful one that could look good on the white / black models but it could cause a fit it's that crazy haha.

And one I made that had blue and green in for the Seafoam Pixel :).

Love these funky wallpapers, thank you :)

Not to be a requester, but if you have time, mind making a matte black dark one? Like a mix of matte grey you'd find on a F35 Fighter jet, coupled with the matte blacks on a B2 stealth bomber :) And throw in a little lighter color.

what case you guys recommend for pixel 6 i am between ghostek or Ringke
You won't go wrong with Ringke they are usually on my list of cases ...I couldn't get one for my P6P so I went Spigen...I'm enjoying the Ghostek case now and my first time with one ..so much I ordered a second style from them to test out ...

I don't really do mobile gaming when I travel. I take pictures with my cameras or phones and sit down with an ale and work on editing.

May not be for everyone, but did some Lightroom and magic eraser to make an image I enjoy. The 6 is powerful enough and has a good enough screen to make the process enjoyable.

6 makes a good evening city shooter!

Richer black on the processed one. Nice job. Now tell us - did you try and remove that parked car and it didn't magic erase well, or did you not even try? Asking for the board, of course :)

Honestly no. They didn't bother me as much as the hydrant and haze / halo from the street lights on either side. Removing the haze and not over-processing the rest was enough work lol.

@GrumpyMom does the moment case add much heft to the phone? I generally don't like cases but I want magsafe! Is it a rubbery or more smooth plastic feeling case? Also, how are the buttons with the case on?

Sorry for all the questions, you're just the first one I've seen on here with the moment case in hand.
Hey no problem. Sorry, I just got home.

Anyway, I just put my 6 Pro on my MagSafe charger. It seems to be working. I’ll check for overheating but so far it seems surprisingly cool. But it’s going to be slow. Like a turtle. I’ve seen slugs move faster than the percentage is rising on this charger. I’m at 73% and it says on my display toward the bottom “Charging wirelessly Full in 1hr 7 minutes. Good gracious thank goodness it isn’t at 10%.

So I guess it’s okay for overnight charging if you sleep late. But you would not want to rely on this for a quick top off during the day.

I think the value in the MagSafe will be in making the phone compatible with MagSafe accessories like dash mounts or mounts to selfie sticks and tripods.

It is light. It feels similar in weight to my Spigen Rugged Armour which is a TPU case. It feels very solid and protective. It’s good and grippy. There’s a nice texture to the back. It’s too firm to feel rubbery but it’s textured and soft enough that it doesn’t feel slippery. It’s a good case but I need more time with it to see if lint is going to collect a lot around the built in lens mount. The lens mount is flat enough so it is not anything that will get in your way or stick in your pockets. But in my experience with Moment cases it can be a bit of a dust trap.

I’ll try and get some pictures tomorrow in daylight. It raises enough to protect the display but not obscure the edges.

Button covers are clicky. I’m currently in a darkened room so I can’t see much of it myself and can’t see much of anything due to medicine in my eye. I rushed off to my appointment right after I posted my photo of the case. I unfortunately have to do some driving tomorrow morning, but later in the morning or in early afternoon I’ll try to give a more thorough presentation of it.

Guys, word to the wise, absolutely positively never ever tell your spouse or friend to take a photo of you wearing a face mask (the kind we are wearing for Covid rules in some areas) and then ask them to use magic eraser to remove the mask from your face. 😖😣🤯🥵😱😰

Really don’t. I’m going to have nightmares for weeks. 🥺

Guess it is okay for magsafe charging rate as you said.

I am charging from 64% with Google 30W adapter and it says 1 hr 20 mins to full.

I just ordered ESR metal ring and I can't wait to use back magsafe accessories. Moment looks really cool too. I just couldn't spend too much this year. I am sure if I get moment case, my hand will be itchy to get hands on anamorphic lens

Okay I’m back. This is the MagSafe case for the Pixel 6Pro by Moment. It seems to be fully compatible with the Google Pixel stand released a few years ago. It’s playing my photo slideshows normally. There is some warmth after 15 minutes but no undue heat.

The top and bottom are raised to protect the display. The sides are also raised but don’t impede touch for the edges. We have a Crave case that comes up higher for the sides but that makes it feel like we are using the phone in a trough. By “we” I mean my husband and I have both tried it.

Credit to @Aneres11 for the beautiful wallpaper. It’s wild but I love the colors. Sorry, the photos are taken on my XR which I’m still using while my eyes heal. It’s got a wonderful camera but is limited in indoor lighting and close up range.

Here’s a closer view of the camera mount that is built in. Lol I can’t find my lenses at the moment. They’re either still packed with my travel bag or my husband’s.

They will protect the lenses pretty well. But they do accumulate lint easily. Use a camera brush or blow the lint off. I use my hair as a camera brush! 😆

Buttons. With little slits alongside them. It makes it easy to press them but again, dust could get in this way.

And here is the photo from last night as a reminder what it looks like at the back

Is there a way to do slideshow while charging without the Google stand? I have one wireless charger I never use as I don't like heating my batteries, but would be curious to see the slideshow integration.

I wanted to thank you so much for sharing your art with us. I still have the dark crazy swirly 4th one on that I installed this morning. It provides much needed cheer as I am prone to seasonal depression when the weather turns as suddenly as ours did this year.

Because the Pixel Pro display has that interesting attribute of making content appear to be painted on the surface of the display, especially in bright ambient lighting, it looks like my 6Pro is actually painted! I love it.

Despite the colors being so bold and contrasty, I can see my icons and print just fine. It really livens up my phone in its plain black cases and is exactly the look I wanted for a Pixel. Thank you again!
