I just never understand the duplicate app argument. Yes, I agree. You should be able to delete any app you wish, but simply all you need to do is hide the apps and use whatever you want. They do no harm on the phone and a lot of people like their apps like the internet for Samsung and they use their messages app too. I don't, but I never found any of those apps to bother me at all or compromise my storage capacity. I just hide them.. again, everyone has their own opinion so I respect.. I've never kept DirecTV on any unlocked Samsung phone, but I'm not sure if that's a carrier add-on..everyone made fun of Samsung for the Note but they elevated the game with that series ...Folds are trending in the proper direction ...again my opinions...S series will now be new Note ..This is not the TouchWiz days ..I don't see much complaints of peeps wanting to delete Safari on iphone but it's the same thing each has something you want to delete ....it took awhile to get another browser as default action on iOS ..
yeah the horse is dead already....
Its funny because if you put the S 21 Ultra and Pixel 6 Pro side by side they are almost the same phone.
If you hate curved displays on Samsung phones but love the Pixel 6 Pro something doesn't add up lol.

The OS on both phones is basically the same except for a few bells and whistles. The old TouchWhiz days are long gone. The Android skin Samsung uses is really nice these days. It is thin and light and adds features instead of just bloat.

Exactly ...I love them both and each has strengths..OS is smooth on both it's not like the old days you ran a Samsung and when you switched you were like wow pure Android ...

Back on the beautiful flat Pixel 6, glorious.

My simple homescreen;

You again, I thought I had you on ignore LOL. How did "Samsung do a number on me"? No, they just suck, and the only smartphone lines that matter are iPhone and Pixel, that's it. Apple's iOS and Google's stock Android ( the company that created the Android OS ). But that's only my opinion.

Samsung with their duplicate apps two of this and three of that, is just not needed, if Samsung uses Android for their OS stick with Google stock apps for the clock or calendar and whatnot. And then bloatware apps like DirectTV that you can't delete. Or gimmicks like curved edge displays.

Samsung should just run their own OS not Android like they've been talking about for years. But I know I'm in the extreme minority, and obviously tens of millions love Samsung.

Don't get your panties twisted, it's a joke. You mention in literally every post that you dislike Samsung. You're entitled to your opinion, but we've all heard your opinion on the matter 300 times now. You're telling me I've gotta read through your anti-Samsung posts daily but the second I poke fun at it you're outraged. C'mon now.

This is a forum about cell phones and your user name is "Tig Bitties". Maybe don't take everything so seriously.

Or just put me on ignore. I'm fine either way.

I've tried the factory cable on the above chargers with no difference. I would think even charging "Rapidly" as the phone is reporting it wouldn't take 12 hours to get to 80%.
Update to this charging issue: Sideloaded the new Nov. Update last night. Used the phone all day today and it charged perfectly up to 100% using the same chargers as before. So guess it was a software thing!

Congrats to our UK siblings, Super jealous that you get the Bose headphones while we in the states are stuck with the relatively Meh Pixel Buds. I used to have a pair of Bose Triport headphones that I loved, and always wanted to try their ANC over ear headphones.

Wish the Bose reward was worldwide, but IIRC you do pay more for your phones (currency exchange rates) than we do, so it is petty for me to complain in the end ;) .

My clear Spigen case arrived and I also put my LK screen protector on. I actually watched the installation video and there was some catchy music on it and one of my girls who was sitting at the table with me doing homework started dancing and so I started dancing and so it was one of the more lively screen protector installations I've experienced. 🙂

I got my husband's installed, too. His was second so I did a little bit better job on his but both ended up with small bubbles that will take a day or two to work their way out. By some miracle we've avoided scratches while waiting for these to arrive. Well mine was in the Poetic case. Unfortunately once you remove your phone that screen protector is probably not going to be reusable. But I don't miss the big clear dot on it so...whatever.

The case comes with a second frame without a screen protector that I can still use.

But I'm really happy to have a slender case again. And it's clear so it's nice to really get to see my Stormy Black phone. Even though it's constantly described as the plain choice, I do find it very nice to look at. I can go crazy on the wallpaper and I'm still absolutely addicted to the energy of the one I've been using from @Aneres11

I often do tend to stick to the same wallpaper for months at a time if I find one that really resonates with me and that one definitely did.

For Snowball, it was the stock Pixel Moon one that rotated. For my purple iphone Mini it was a scan of the Mother's Day card that came with it. For my ipad Mini it was a birthday card from my parents.

I usually change my Samsung backgrounds a lot because I'm a fan of their theme store.

For the Pixel 6 Pro I was looking for handmade art with striking colors. I just about screamed with excitement when I saw what Aneres11 posted. Because I'd looked around and just couldn't quite find what I was looking for. Until that moment.

In the beginning my 6 Pro did remind me of my S21 Ultra. But now it reminds me more of my Pixel 2. To my delight the charm is all there. I didn't know I could become so fond of a large phone. I thought I'm a small phone person.

Nope. I'm a Pixel person! 😁 I am this smitten and I haven't even obsessed over the customization part like the rest of you, yet!

My husband is using his a lot, too. I can tell he has had a lot of fun with it.

The one thing I haven't gotten to do yet is watch a movie on it. I would like to see how it compares to my s21 Ultra at that task.

A couple of things I miss from my s21 Ultra are S Pen compatibility and the Edge feature. I do actually use the Edge swipey thing. Lol I need to get to bed.

But right now if I could only have one I'd pick my Pixel easily. Even my husband thinks his Pixel camera gives him better photos more consistently than his 13 Pro Max does.

Sorry, I babbled a bit. I'm just catching up.

How goes the Pixel ownership for everyone? People still as happy with their purchase as they were a week ago?

The Pixel Charging Stand 2 is now up for pre-order rather than 'coming soon' on the Store.

I just whacked my pre-order in with a delivery estimate of Dec 14th 😁.

Thought worth sharing.
I am so torn on that device. I hate wireless charging because it is wasteful, heats the phone & battery while charging, which is bad for lithium ion. At the same time, I want the functionality and features the stand turns on.

Voices of the tempting “oh just buy and try” and “No Antonio” being yelled in my own head. It’s a scary place in there.

Will stock Android 12 ever theme 3rd party app icons like Telegram or Twitter or Reddit?
Doubtful. I remember when Samsung came out with themes and would change their stock apps to match the wallpaper but they never changed 3rd party apps. Hell, Google can't even get some of their own stocks apps to play nice with Android 12.

Bingo! That’s why I have no interest in wireless charging, in fact I use a low powered power adapter on my Pixel’s. Rapid charging tends to heat up the battery as well.

As far as Pixel ownership goes, I decided to keep my Pixel 4a. I had every intention of trading it in but I just love the small size even though I prefer larger phones. Does that make any sense? 🤣

I made the mistake of buying a Google (Rock Candy) Pixel 4a case and when I put it on my barely blue 4a, I thought it looked too cool to part with. So now I own a 4a, 4a 5G and Pixel 6. Yikes. I have NO regrets on my Pixel 6 purchase, an awesome phone for the price of a mid ranger which really is a flagship phone.

At this rate the day I die, they‘ll find me buried under a pile of Pixel phones. :p

Yup love mine so much. I love just actually usijg it, if that makes sense. Android 12 and Material You for me is sooooo good. I think it's an amazing visual overhaul.

I'm settled on a nice home screen set up now that wouldn't have been possible really on another Android device (that looks like this, I mean) and its just great. I also LOVE the haptics on this phone.

The curve isn't an issue anymore for me. It's subtle enough. One thing that comes with a wider phone is less errors on typing. Which I appreciate. So even though I had and continue to have doubts about bigger phones, the pros are outweighing the cons for me.

Chuffed I went with the Cloudy White in the end. Very clean.
Camera is a joy to use, as expected. And the nice little touches like Extra Dim, 'Now Playing' and the Assistant working so much better than my other Androids make for a great user experience.

Yeah I charge via a lower powered USB-A plug, with an USB-A to USB-C cable to slow charge my phones too.

I will likely be buried with iOS and Android devices. I love my Pixel 3, and am sad Google isn’t extending support for another year. I guess it gets a final sunset update in December, so it is still in some circulation, but not on my main Google account anymore due to my wanting to keep it secure, and avoid the bad habit of using a legacy Android device without security patches.

I honestly need to do the same with my older iOS devices that don’t get support anymore. :(.

I love pixel phones, daily drive the 6 and iPhone 13 Pro. While we can dual sim these days, I keep work and private life phones on different SIMs and love leaving work behind at times. Pixel is currently on the non-work profile and still a joy to use.

I feel the same exact way. I have the original Pixel stand. I tried Stormy the Pixel 6 Pro on it and all was well when it was wearing the Moment MagSafe case. Stormy stayed cool. I loved the photo album.

Then another time I didn't have a case on and put Stormy on there plain and the phone got really hot. About as hot as my iphones sometimes get on MagSafe or my Apple Watch gets on its magnetic charger. So nothing abnormal, but it's alarming nonetheless.

There was a time I didn't care because I upgrade annually. And I certainly bought this phone with the idea I'll trade it next year for Pixel 7.

Well...as someone now severely restricted to using an iPhone XR from a few years ago...everything has changed for me.

I missed my purple 12 mini and tried to use it again for a few minutes last night. I'm sporting a headache as a result. I do think though, eventually I'll be able to use that phone again someday. But upgrading to the 13 Pro destroyed my ability to use that phone for now. And of course I can't use any of Apple's other latest and greatest models.

So I'm not able to take it for granted I can upgrade when the new shiny hits the market. With my physiology, the results can be disastrous. So, I'd better take care of these phones that I can use and that I've jelled well with. And so I'm not as cavalier about the destructive effects of wireless charging.

Most of my cases now have stick-on rings to help me hold such a large phone with ease so I can't just throw it on the charger. But I'll keep my Moment for the purpose and test a few more times. That's a case that does feel well designed for heat dissipation.

I've been wirelessly charging exclusively for years with no battery issues. I suppose it might be an issue if you want to keep a phone for like 3+ years but we all know most of us here will be lucky to keep it 1 year. Plus, I've had charging ports fail from repeated use but never a battery issue from wireless charging. I think either is fine as long as you are careful.

This is me. Also, I wireless charge at night, not one of the fastest wireless chargers because I feel like I don't need to rush it and when I wake up in the morning both phones are ready for the day.. once in a while if I need to bump it in the middle of the day it goes on the wireless charger near the desk and a few times I will use one of my Pixel bricks and cord for regular charge.. I don't normally keep phones past 2 years so I can't really speak about battery deteriorating...
