Yup love mine so much. I love just actually usijg it, if that makes sense. Android 12 and Material You for me is sooooo good. I think it's an amazing visual overhaul.

I'm settled on a nice home screen set up now that wouldn't have been possible really on another Android device (that looks like this, I mean) and its just great. I also LOVE the haptics on this phone.

The curve isn't an issue anymore for me. It's subtle enough. One thing that comes with a wider phone is less errors on typing. Which I appreciate. So even though I had and continue to have doubts about bigger phones, the pros are outweighing the cons for me.

Chuffed I went with the Cloudy White in the end. Very clean.
Camera is a joy to use, as expected. And the nice little touches like Extra Dim, 'Now Playing' and the Assistant working so much better than my other Androids make for a great user experience.

This is a great platform and the hardware feels as good as my beloved iPhone XS Max phone. No curved screen, but the curved edges are nice on the hand, and the phone is weighted in such a way that it feels well balanced.

Pixel doesn’t have as high spec of a screen, but the ability to super compress text size makes the phone feel much bigger and give me much more usable screen space than my iPhones. I love compacting things down to fit more on a browser page, or productivity app.

I feel the same exact way. I have the original Pixel stand. I tried Stormy the Pixel 6 Pro on it and all was well when it was wearing the Moment MagSafe case. Stormy stayed cool. I loved the photo album.

Then another time I didn't have a case on and put Stormy on there plain and the phone got really hot. About as hot as my iphones sometimes get on MagSafe or my Apple Watch gets on its magnetic charger. So nothing abnormal, but it's alarming nonetheless.

There was a time I didn't care because I upgrade annually. And I certainly bought this phone with the idea I'll trade it next year for Pixel 7.

Well...as someone now severely restricted to using an iPhone XR from a few years ago...everything has changed for me.

I missed my purple 12 mini and tried to use it again for a few minutes last night. I'm sporting a headache as a result. I do think though, eventually I'll be able to use that phone again someday. But upgrading to the 13 Pro destroyed my ability to use that phone for now. And of course I can't use any of Apple's other latest and greatest models.

So I'm not able to take it for granted I can upgrade when the new shiny hits the market. With my physiology, the results can be disastrous. So, I'd better take care of these phones that I can use and that I've jelled well with. And so I'm not as cavalier about the destructive effects of wireless charging.

Most of my cases now have stick-on rings to help me hold such a large phone with ease so I can't just throw it on the charger. But I'll keep my Moment for the purpose and test a few more times. That's a case that does feel well designed for heat dissipation.

I am wondering for your iOS needs, if the new iPad Mini would bother your eyes? I love mine, it is really fast, and apps load great on it. Not sure if the jelly scroll would bother you, I do lots of visual work, and haven’t been impacted by it anymore than I am on my M1 MacBook Pro (Jelly scroll exists when you go side to side like most consumer laptops around the world).

I am not sure how long I will keep the Pixel, but the intent is to do 2-5 years, unless there is something super compelling on the next one, and I can find a good buyer ;) .

I've been wirelessly charging exclusively for years with no battery issues. I suppose it might be an issue if you want to keep a phone for like 3+ years but we all know most of us here will be lucky to keep it 1 year. Plus, I've had charging ports fail from repeated use but never a battery issue from wireless charging. I think either is fine as long as you are careful.

I have had mixed results with various appliances over the years, as well as my 1st generation Apple Watch aging it’s battery prematurely. Since I tend to hold onto devices for ages I just don’t want to add to battery degradation of my devices.

Part of my issue is I deal with Datacenters (day job) and Lithium ion batteries for various systems are the bane of my existence. Really hoping we start to make further leaps in bounds in this technology as we have in mobile processors.

How goes the Pixel ownership for everyone? People still as happy with their purchase as they were a week ago?

I am so torn on that device. I hate wireless charging because it is wasteful, heats the phone & battery while charging, which is bad for lithium ion. At the same time, I want the functionality and features the stand turns on.

Voices of the tempting “oh just buy and try” and “No Antonio” being yelled in my own head. It’s a scary place in there.

Still very happy with the P6 Pro although I have a few complaints. Also finding myself back to using my Z Fold 3 a little bit more here lately. That device is just such a power house than can do any and everything you want.

Easily my favorite Pixel device and I've had every one except the 5 and the "a" variants. I really miss the form factor of the 4XL and the face unlock of the 4XL but those are really minor gripes. I'll easily lose those in exchange for P6 Pro hardware improvement in almost every other area.

Tensor performance is a mixed bag for me honestly. I like the path Google is headed here which I think is going to closely mirror Apple's tight integration of software coupled with their own SOC. While the Tensor is a big leap forward for what the Pixel is built around (AI, imaging, etc.) the graphics performance in games is subpar compared to my Galaxy devices and definitely behind the iPhone. This probably won't be an issue for most people I'm sure. However, I'm a COD mobile junkie and many times the graphics performance is throttled I'm assuming due to heat related issues. It gets to the point that it drops frames like crazy and is nearly unplayable. Luckily, I usually have an iPhone or Galaxy device around for gaming, so, definitely not a deal breaker for me but I could see where it would be for some.

Also, the modem performance is not up par with the Qualcomm x60 modem. When side by side with my devices with the Qualcomm modem I've noticed lower speeds. Also, being used on AT&T, it seems to have connectivity issues at times.

Other than that, the device is an absolute joy to use. If I have to pick one to use as my daily it would be this device.

Regarding AT&T, are you able to disable 5G?

I haven't done any speed tests but am tempted to compare 5G on this device, versus the iPhone 13 Pro. Honestly not running into speed issues with mine, but there are times where I need to burst upload items, or attempt a quick 4G / 5G download.

No option to disable 5G that I can tell. Here in the Dallas area 5G has been really solid on all of my devices, hate to disable it if I don't have to. Not a huge deal. No more of an issue than when Apple used the Intel modems for a couple years.

My exact thoughts too.....I never keep a phone past 1 year let alone 2-3 years that battery degradation would surface.
For me it is worth the extra convenience and I have not noticed my devices getting overly warm anyway.
I hate the clutter of all those cables too.

Yep just ordered one! I figured what the heck...I only a drawer full of wireless chargers anyway...what's one more going to hurt....
See whereas I don't have any wireless chargers haha.
I don't like them generally as I've been late for work due to phones dying on me in the night and I've overslept. Twice that's happened due to a wireless charger. So I vowed never again haha.

But this was an olllld charger with my XR I believe.
The Pixel can't be placed on the Stand wrongly or slide off, as what happened with my XR! :D

So back on my Pixel 6 for a day, and I do like the more portable form factor, and flat screen much more than the 6 Pro.

But...

Performance wise, yeah I can notice a difference. The regular 6 just feels slightly and I mean very minor bit slower than the 6 Pro. Very very minor split second hiccups on certain things when maybe sending a text, or going back to an app I have in background. I mean just a quarter of second barely there lag, not much really, but it's there.

The Pixel 6 Pro. Smooth as butter, very fluid, always fast 100%.

Now why is that? The 120hz display over 90hz? I doubt it. The 12GB RAM over 8GB? Don't think so.

But there's a difference, it's certainly not night and day or anything. But the 6 Pro is just a faster smoother feeling phone over the Pixel 6.

Wish Google did what Apple does with the Pro line of phones. The 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are virtual identical hardware inside, only the screen size and battery being different.

I took a little walk today ..70s here before the cold weather comes over the weekend

Exactly the same as me.
You really notice it when you go from one to the next.
Before I returned my reg 6 I was flipping between regularly and you really could notice the ever so slight hiccup, which as you say is odd.

In the end, as much as I preferred the 6 design, I liked everything else about the Pro more.

Still no update for me here in the UK.

Clutter , heat and aging is only part of it for me. Though clutter isn't one of my issues as I am OCD about cable management due to my data center career.

I am almost done with my 100% solar low voltage charging setup. With that, the inefficient energy transfer of wireless charging will eat into my battery reserves more than I would like. nice thing is, I will no longer be trandorming down from 120v to USB charging voltages, I am coming down from 12v DC.

Nice thing is, we all have options to chose from, especially on the Android side of the fence.

I found out today the Pixel stand has a fan just saying if I need to sway ya

Fan will take more power from my DC power supply. Steering me more away ;) .

One thing I am pumped about with my pending setup, the Google home mini I own, and all HomePod minis run on low DC voltage, so I will be able to power some of my entertainment off the grid. Currently trying to decide on a 32" LCD TV that runs on 12v power as well.

TV or a lossy phone charger with a fan? ;) .

I find that interesting as I'm using an unlocked 6 pro on Verizon but still no update. Whereas the Verizon 6 pro my GF has got the update on day 1. I know the first November update a lot of the unlocked pixels on Verizon had to manually update. I hope this isn't a trend going forward as I don't want to have to manually update each time...

Google still hasn't figured out updates yet apparently.

A couple of weeks in and I have no real complaints. Granted, I came from a Samsung S8. I've had Samsungs for about 10 years (and some iPhone too). The only "issue" I have is getting used to such a large phone - esp coming from the S8. But Android 12, the look and feel of the device, and yes - EVEN THE FPS - all great. And battery life? Wow. Again, I had a 3+ year old S8 that would have battery drain so much during the day I would need to always plug in at 3ish PM every day if I wanted it to last until bed time. Now, I typically go to bed with not less than 45 percent and often times more than that.

The one feature I would love to see on Android which I do not think exists - would be an option to clear cache on all apps at once.

TVs are overrated
