So Google says I can't return the phone and my only option is getting it repaired. Didn't they extend the return window?
Ughhh not good news ... it's extended starting Nov 26

So Google says I can't return the phone and my only option is getting it repaired. Didn't they extend the return window? I ordered my P6 Oct 20th and it was delivered Nov 3rd. They want me to take it to Ubreakitifixit and i've read terrible stories about them. Oh well, check me up to a bad customer experience.

Holiday Return Policy

Important:
  • All purchases made from November 26–December 10, 2021 can be returned through January 10, 2022.
  • All purchases made from December 11, 2021–January 31, 2022 have 30 days from the day it was received to be returned.
  • All purchases made after January 31, 2022 are subject to the Standard Return Policy.
  • [US only]: No restocking fees will be charged from October 19, 2021–January 31, 2022.
I would escalate to a supervisor since you are one day past the 15 day window ..I would at least try it first ...

It's difficult enough just trying to get someone on chat let alone on the phone. I doubt they will play nice

Edit: I'm on the phone now with them keeping fingers and toes crossed they'll give me a replacement.

Good luck and keep at them... Let them know you're a big time pixel buyer. They should be able to tell with your history of phone purchases ..

Haha that's okay. You're still a good customer lol

Also, I forgot you said you did a factory reset right on the phone? I'm sure they will ask you to do that
Yeah, first booted into safe mode, that didn't fix the problem, then a factory reset. They are sending me a replacement but can't guarantee it will be new. Hopefully i'll get a new one. I wonder how you can tell if it's a refurb? I know a new phone comes in a sealed box with a screen wrapper but I don't know if Google does that with their refurbs.

I hope you get a new one and it's gotta be better than having to go to UFix it or you Ubreak it or whatever the hell you call them lol

I played around with a 6 Pro at bestbuy, very clean UI.

Is there no stock weather app? I tried to add a weather widget and there was none.

For my last post ^^^^ Not sure why my iPhone 13 PM turned my desk different colors for 2 of those shots.

Well with this call into ATT, the Pixel 6 is now my official main phone. I have had them enter the IEMI and other functions to fully enable features such as hotspot and other items. The 13 Pro is still going to be used a lot, but it is on my Visible network (Verizon) and mostly a work phone.

I have no issues putting the base Pixel 6 I have into the same class group as the iPhone 13 pro. It is a premium device at the fraction of the cost. Screen = awesome, better then specifications, I don't notice lag others do, and the cameras are great for me since I don't / refuse to zoom on a camera phone.

Man, totally smitten with this huge (for me) slab of a phone.

Totally agree the Pixel 6 absolutely belongs in the same class as smaller sized flagship phones.

It's funny a 6.4" screen size is considered "smaller" today.

Welp, giving the most recent issue with yet another pixel device, it really sours me on getting the 6 that I had my eye on now :(

And that issue is?
Have a thread started below but it decided to basically stop charging. Battery stuck at 50% tried rebooting, different cords and even external battery. Nope.

Wonder if being shoved in my pocket exacerbated the known issue. :(

I'm really not having much luck with these devices ?

Edit: turned off adaptive charging and battery, got charging info after a reboot. Kind of in a holding pattern. Will try not to derail this thread too much more about my XL 4...

I'm still apprehensive about getting another pixel now though ?
