Ugh, so, should I give another try with another pixel? I'm very up in the air right now as I have one sour lemon to make lemonade out of, almost to the point of being bitter.

I've even had issues with the XL 2, the one I'm still on was actually a replacement. Forgot to add: however it's been probably one of the best behaved pixels I've had, mostly annoying quirks but nothing like some of the issues these other devices have had...

If this wasn't a main line being replaced I'd probably be less unsure of ordering.

I think they nailed it this year. They put out an excellent quality product at a great price. Hard to be disappointed. If unsure, maybe go with the regular 6 as it’s certainly worth the price.

I have both the 6 Pro and 6, and really no major issues to speak of. Few bugs that will be patched in an update.

The 6 Pro really is fantastic smartphone. Super fluid fast.

Please explain what is visual search. The phone basically has default settings.
It searches what your are pointing at, like if your shooting a cat, it will try to find the breed. Looks like your in "lens" mode, just switch to "camera" mode and those dots should disappear.

Are you still leaning towards the 6? Now that I’ve had both, I’m leaning towards the regular 6.

I still have my SIM I'm the smaller 6, for work and stuff it's more portable and easier quick one handed.

But the 6 Pro using it at home dangerously with no case, yikes. But this phone is special, feels so smooth, and looks great. Holding it is comfortable. A beautiful phone. It is faster feeling than the Pixel 6.

Hi, i’m getting dots, sparkles everywhere else. I only noticed the camera and took a screenshot because I get black checkerboard boxes appearing on the screen while taking a picture. I rarely use the camera but the flashing dots and sparkles appeared when I first got the phone.

Google support had me boot the phone into safe mode and I still got all of the above even while using the camera. They then had me perform a factory reset and while setting up the phone I saw some random flashing dots. My guess is that there is a loose connection from either a ribbon cable inside the phone or a bad solder joint. It’s almost like the display is showing electrical noise from within the phone.

Been poking around. Stuck a 6 in my cart on Google unfortunately it didn't give me a time frame.

Also tossing around the idea of the 5a for 200 bucks cheaper. I've read both seem to have issues, though the ghost dialing seems more of a bug. Sigh. I really don't know. I used to be all gungho about these devices but know it almost seems like I've been bitten too many times ?

The camera and cleaner software experience make the pixels just about right but compounding issues with many of my previous devices makes me not very enthusiastic.

The next cleanest device software wise would be an iPhone but I really don't want to switch.

Ugh. What happened with me and the hobby of phones? o_O

Why do I like to go naked on large phones like the Pixel 6 Pro or my old iPhone 12 Pro Max? They just feel and look better caseless.

But smaller phones like Pixel 6 or old Pixel 5 I actually like in a case.

Are you planning on keeping the P6P? A nice little skin would be good. Give you a little grip..

You have to go into the checkout to get the delivery time frame. Sorta Seafoam was delivering Dec 15-16 as of this morning.

Check your PMs :)

Ugh. Wasn't sure I could go 6 for this line. Was leaning towards the pro if I did, mostly for the camera features. Pricing a little better this round but couldn't spring for it just yet.

Ordered the 5a...

Question for those with FPS issues? Do you hold your digit on the sensor until it unlocks? I noticed that if I lift quickly or semi quickly the FPS doesn't recognize my digit. If I place and hold my digit until the phone unlocks it's around 100% accurate. Just checking to see how everyone else is unlocking their phone via the FPS.

I don't have any issues at all and what I do is I hold it down until it opens just like you stated .... I'm pretty much nearly 100%...
