Pixel slate discussion thread?

Ouch, that video is brutal. And the other reviewers' experienced similar issues with performance. If Google can work the kinks out of the Slate to have the same performance as the Pixelbook (the Slate model with the same processor) it would be a killer device for me...it actually would be exactly what I was hoping the iPad Pro could be.

The mainstream tech reviewers/bloggers/YouTubers already have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to Chrome OS devices, so this poor outing with the Slate just gives them license to open up a 2 liter bottle of Haterade.

Sounds like this device is kind of a disaster...

There's not really a justifiable reason to get this over the Pixelbook or the iPad Pro.

Yeah, the performance is looking horrible. Google needed to hit it out of the park to make a run at Apple, and first impressions are important.
